Membership Policies

1.

Membership is open to all, regardless of creed, social status and political affiliation. It is open to all Filipinos residing in the Philippines or abroad and to all non-Filipinos residing in the Philippines.

2. Membership in the Girl Scout Movement is voluntary, but it carries with it the following responsibilities:

a) Subscribing to the principles of the Girl Scouting Movement as embodied in the promise and Law. b) Annual payment of the membership fee corresponding to one's position as prescribed by the Central Board. A member serving in more than one capacity must pay the fee for the highest position.

3. Duly registered members of GSP shall be issued an annual individual membership card as well as group registration certificate for the GSP units.

Happy Girl Scout Week!

2018 is a milestone year, as we commemorate the 120th birth anniversary of our dear Founder,
Josefa Llanes Escoda.

As Girl Scouts, we should maximize our capabilities and use them to create a positive change in our society by helping others.

September 20 has been declared a public holiday in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, her birthplace. This year’s celebration will be more special because aside from the annual program and activities in the City of Dingras, there will be an inauguration of the marker of the Josefa Llanes Escoda National Highway in San Nicolas-Solsona, which is a portion of the Ilocos Norte-Apayao Road. Girls from Ilocos Norte-Laoag Council will form a Long Green Line along the JLE National Highway.

Girl Scouts all over the country are enjoined to participate in the week-long celebration:

We look forward to your usual active participation. Please submit your report to the National
Headquarters by using the Girl Scout Week Celebration Report Form, along with
action photos, on or before October 15, 2018. You may also post your activity photos on your Facebook Account using the hashtags and @120 and share them with the official page of the GSP NHQ.
