Today at August 17, let us all come together to celebrate the feast day of our beloved patron saint, St. Hyacinth of Poland.

St. Hyacinth is often portrayed with him carrying a chalice and a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is because one of his most well-known miracles includes him saving both in the face of danger.

St. Hyacinth was assigned by his fellow Dominican friars to go save the chalice. St. Hyacinth did until he heard the voice of Mary telling him to take her too. Despite the statue weighing heavier than he can normally lift, St. Hyacinth had still carried it resiliently.

St. Hyacinth's story is a story of faith, resilience, and strength--- how each one can help you even through the toughest of times. We, as people of San Jacinto, can take inspiration from our beloved patron saint.
