๐ต๐ญ Celebrating 128 Years of Philippine Freedom: Araw ng Kalayaan 2026
Today, as we mark Araw ng Kalayaan this June 12, 2026, Gueguesangen Integrated School joins the entire nation in celebrating the hard-won freedom our heroes fought bravely to achieve. For 128 years, this day has stood as a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience, and selfless sacrifice shown by our forefathersโmen and women from all walks of life who dared to dream of a Philippines free from oppression, and who laid down their lives so we could live in liberty.
This liberty we enjoy today is not merely a privilege or a right we take for granted; it is a precious legacy entrusted to each generationโa treasure we must always cherish, protect, and uphold with deep pride and responsibility. True freedom goes beyond just being independent from foreign rule; it means having the liberty to act with integrity, respect one another, and contribute to the progress of our communities.
Let us honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by carrying forward their unwavering love for our motherland, embracing our rich Filipino culture, traditions, and identity, and standing united in building a peaceful, just, and progressive nation. May we continue to be guided by the values of patriotism, service, and unity as we shape a brighter future for the next generation.
