Why is volunteering important for youth?
While we should support youth volunteerism to better our communities, children and teenagers who volunteer will also see and feel transformation within themselves. In the words of Opportunity Nation, “There is mounting evidence that volunteering, participating in service projects, and other forms of community involvement are more than feel-good activities. They can contribute to better outcomes for youth and for communities.” In other words, we all benefit by encouraging altruistic behaviors in our communities’ youth.

Youth is the time of life when one is young, but often means the time between childhood and adulthood (maturity). It is also defined as "the appearance, freshness, vigor, and spirit, characteristics of one who is young". It's definitions of a specific age range varies, as youth is not defined chronologically as a stage that can be tied to specific age range; not it's end point be linked to specific activities, such as taking unpaid work or sexual relations without consent. Youth are as it's said in Filipino "Ang Pag-asa ng Bayan" agree or disagree, for us it depends on the youth or from the person himself/herself if she or he would really be one of a good model or just a bad image that she or he only shows negative side of his/her attitude and also most of the youths today tend to be this kind of image to others that's why are community needs youth that would be a leader a good image and for them to lead and guide those young one's in terms of election and how important it is.
