R1Arza Makes History at AI Fest PH 2026

The journey of Team R1Arza comes to a proud finale as they conclude their three-day experience at AI Fest PH 2026 in Iloilo City. Representing Region I and Universidad de Dagupan SITE, Marlo Mendoza, Hilarion Ildefonso Jr., and Engr. Jeric Prado proudly showcased their game “Strings” on the national stage — earning the Best in Art Direction Award for their outstanding creativity and artistic vision.

This achievement marks a historic milestone for UdD SITE, showcasing the talent and capabilities of our community on a national platform and adding another proud chapter to the growing legacy of Universidad de Dagupan in technology, game development, and innovation.

Day 2 of AI Fest PH 2026 brought another memorable moment for Team R1Arza as they continued showcasing their game, “Strings,” in Iloilo City.

One of the day's highlights was the visit of DOST Secretary Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr. to the R1Arza booth. The team had the opportunity to personally present Strings and share the concept, creativity, and technology behind their project.

For Marlo Mendoza, Hilarion Ildefonso Jr., and Engr. Jeric Prado, the moment was an opportunity to bring their work before one of the country's leaders in science and technology while proudly representing Region I and Universidad de Dagupan SITE.

AI GAME ON! IV is a national game development competition and hackathon that challenges participants to create innovative video games celebrating Filipino heritage through the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
