I once was like itong ganitong GULLIBLE DISCIPLE, kaya naisipan kong aralin ang lalim nito.
So ano ba ang ibig kong sabihin sa isang “gullible disciple”… eto yun, a gullible disciple is not simply a fool, sya ay someone with sincere faith ha pero undeveloped ang discernment. He confuses trust in God with trust in everything that sounds spiritual. Matindi ito, kasi ang isang GD, o gullible disciple has zeal, but no filter. His danger lies in mistaking emotion for revelation, charisma for character, and spectacle for substance.
A. Eve believed the serpent’s half-truth — “Did God really say?” — a prototype of untested discernment.
B. Yung batang prophet in 1 Kings 13 who was deceived by an older prophet and lost his life, favorite ko tong biblical example na to… — this is a proof that sincerity without discernment still leads to death, sobrang delikado tlga kapag gullible ka.
C. The Corinthians who followed every “super-apostle” — Paul warned them not to “bear with another Jesus.”
The GULLIBLE DISCIPLE is always mesmerized by flashy outward ministry, big perfect tesimonies. They love to hear preaching testimonials how leader/pastor gain riches from rags.
The Gullible Disciple love the "manifestations".
WHAT THE GULLIBLE DISCIPLE need to learn? Kagaya ko non, kailangan mong tanggapin na gullible ka rin one way or another. The more we deny it the more na hindi natin ma-o-outgrow and gullibility. PANGALAWA, pagtapos mong aminin sa sarili mo mga pagka-gullible mo, oras na para ibahin kung ako hahanapin mo sa isang leader or model mo sa ministry or pastor /preacher… ang hanapin mo yung MOMENT to personally WITNESS how your leader/pastor take corrections from their higher ups… how your mentor/leader take and receive REBUKE from their higher ups. Yan ang mas nakaka excite at nakaka grow ma-witness. Kung ako lang medyo too mainstream na namakita yung mga POWER GIFTS, yung mga MONEY RESULTS…. what we need to witness now is to see our leaders learn from their mistakes, how they get up from their falls, how they outgrow their immaturities and change their behaviors… HOW they receive rod and staff dealings from the people they are accountable to.
As a young rising leader, what we must learn to look for is character, yung sa baba sa stage… yung sa normal lang na usapan. Not just charisma, miracles, or numbers. Not just how passionately someone preaches, but how humbly they receive rebuke from their higher ups because they themselves meron accountability.
Because rebuke reveals roots. Correction is the x-ray of character. You’ll never truly know a man until you see how he responds when he’s wrong.
C**orruption of accountability.**
The tragedy deepens when the once-faithful leader stops being discipled. He builds platforms but burns bridges — especially the one that led him to his first altar.
Instead of staying under authority, he learns to explain his disconnection:
“God has moved me to a new season.”
“My old leader doesn’t understand my calling.”
“We’re all equal now in the body.”
Each excuse hides pride’s quiet rebellion.
And the GREAT gullible disciple watching this doesn’t see defiance; he sees “bold independence.” He admires it — and unknowingly drinks the same poison.
Praying that as read this, you will be delivered from this witchcraft poisonous spirit of gullibility.
