Guagua National Colleges, Inc. proudly participated in the 1st Micro-Credentials Innovation Summit 2026, hosted by Audentes Technologies on July 10, 2026, at the Microsoft PH Office, One Ayala, Makati City.

The summit brought together academic leaders, government agencies, and industry partners to discuss the future of higher education through micro-credentials and digital skills. As one of the institutions offering Micro-Credentials examinations, the GNCI continues to strengthen its commitment to providing learners with globally recognized, industry-aligned certifications that enhance employability and lifelong learning.

With the support of CHED, TESDA, Microsoft Philippines, Certiport, and other education and technology partners, GNC remains dedicated to bridging the gap between education and industry by equipping students with the competencies needed for the evolving digital workforce.

In line with the ACHIEVE Agenda of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), particularly its commitment to advancing innovation, strengthening industry-academe collaboration, and promoting future-ready higher education, CHED Regional Office III participated in the Generation CreaTech.AI 2026: Harnessing AI for Sustainable Creativity in Multimedia Arts, Animation, and Games on 18-19 June 2026 at Guagua National Colleges, Inc., Guagua, Pampanga.

Organized by the Multimedia Arts Association of the Philippines – Central Luzon (MMAAP-CL), the activity convened representatives from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), industry partners, higher education institutions (HEIs), MMAAP-CL officers, and other distinguished guests to discuss emerging trends, best practices, and collaborative initiatives in multimedia arts, animation, game development, and artificial intelligence (AI).

A key focus of the discussion was the vital role of industry-academe partnerships in curriculum enhancement and review. CHED emphasized that meaningful consultation and active collaboration among higher education institutions, industry practitioners, professional organizations, and government agencies are essential in developing curricula that reflect current and emerging industry needs. Likewise, partnerships in research, faculty development, student internships and immersion, capstone projects, and innovation initiatives were recognized as critical strategies in producing graduates equipped with relevant, future-ready competencies for the creative and digital industries.

The discussion likewise underscored the importance of integrating AI into teaching, learning, research, and creative practice while strengthening partnerships among government agencies, higher education institutions, and industry. These collaborative efforts are instrumental in equipping learners with innovative, ethical, and future-ready competencies necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving creative and digital industries.
Through sustained engagement with stakeholders, CHED Regional Office III reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation, supporting academic excellence, and strengthening industry-academe partnerships toward producing globally competitive graduates and advancing the creative economy in Central Luzon.
