A new semester of academic learning.

We highly encourage all Wildcats to review the official student guidelines for the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027. Made to ensure a safe and organized campus environment, these advisories outline the uniform policies, proper grooming codes, and important deadlines for uniform exemptions and scholarship applications within our academic community.

As we embark on this new term, let us extend our full cooperation and strict compliance. May everyone observe the prescribed dress code with responsibility, adhere to the "No ID, No Entry" policy, and process any necessary exemption or scholarship applications promptly before the deadlines.

A new chapter of student leadership begins.

We proudly introduce the newly elected Supreme Student Council Officers for Academic Year 2026–2027. Chosen to represent the voices of the student body, these leaders are entrusted with the responsibility of promoting unity, excellence, and meaningful service within our academic community.

The Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) received a Plaque of Recognition from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region IX (DENR-IX) during Parangal 2026, held on July 9, 2026, in Balintawak, Pagadian City.

The recognition was conferred in acknowledgment of UZ's significant contributions to DENR-IX programs and environmental advocacies, particularly in advancing environmental protection, conservation, and sustainable development.

UZ was also recognized as a Finalist in the National Search for Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Schools, highlighting the University's continuing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

During the awarding ceremony, the University was represented by the Pagadian Campus School Administrator, Dr. Eduardo Danda.

The recognition further affirms UZ's commitment to environmental sustainability and its role as a proactive partner in advancing ecological conservation and sustainable development.

In a significant step toward institutional growth and development, the Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the UZ Pagadian Laboratories Building and the Turnover and Blessing of eight prefabricated classrooms on June 6, 2026, at the UZ Pagadian Campus, Pagadian City.

The groundbreaking of the UZ Laboratories Building marks the beginning of a 5,600-square-meter infrastructure project designed to house simulation centers for the allied medical programs, laboratories for Criminology, Tourism, Hospitality Management, and Business Administration, as well as state-of-the-art learning spaces and modern facilities that will support academic excellence and future-ready education.

The facility, targeted to be fully operational by 2027, brings technologically advanced facilities built to international educational standards. Designed to go beyond conventional educational infrastructure, the facility aims to equip learners with the tools and environments necessary to thrive in today's rapidly evolving digital age.

Meanwhile, eight prefabricated classrooms were also turned over to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of quality education while renovations of the old campus building and preparations for the next phase of campus development are underway.

“We are studying international benchmarks, overseas facilities, and modern learning environments because Pagadianons deserve access to world-class education without leaving home,” shared University President Mr. Abram Eustaquio.

Present during the ceremony were the University President Mr. Abram Eustaquio; Vice President for Administration, Mr. Alfredo Eustaquio; Pagadian City Mayor Hon. Samuel Co; UZ Pagadian Campus School Administrator, Dr. Eduardo Danda; University administrators, faculty and staff members, students, parents, government and industry partners, and project stakeholders.

UZ, as a trailblazer ever committed to transforming the educational landscape of the region, dedicates this development to its mission of providing globally competitive education and creating greater opportunities for the entire Zamboanga Peninsula.
