๐Ÿšจ End the Local Communist Armed Conflict Campaign๐Ÿšจ

The Grades 4โ€“6 learners of Ormoc City SPED Integrated School participated in a meaningful Security Awareness Engagement conducted in partnership with the Ormoc City Police Office โ€“ Mobile Force Company.

The activity focused on strengthening learnersโ€™ awareness of how to respond appropriately during emergencies and critical situations, while promoting safety, responsible decision-making, and personal protection.

The engagement also emphasized the importance of protecting children and young people from bullying, sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, deceptive tactics, and other situations that may put them at risk.

Through activities like this, we continue to empower our learners with knowledge and awareness to Stay Safe, Stay Alert, and Speak Up.

Innovative School Practices through Inquiry, Research, and Empowerment

Ormoc City SPED Integrated School successfully conducted a School-Based Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session under PROJECT INSPIRE, featuring the timely and relevant topic:

Empowering Teachers through Action Research and Innovation: From Ideas to Impact.โ€

The session aimed to strengthen teachersโ€™ knowledge and skills in action research and innovative practices, empowering them to transform classroom-based ideas and experiences into meaningful solutions that can improve teaching and learning outcomes.

We are grateful to our resource person, Mr. Ryan T. Espina, SEPS โ€“ Planning and Research, for sharing his valuable expertise, insights, and experiences with our teaching personnel. His guidance and practical inputs encouraged teachers to become more reflective, innovative, and research-oriented educators.

Through PROJECT INSPIRE, we continue to cultivate a culture of inquiry, collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional growth among teachers.

We are delighted to welcome the Hugpa Elementary School Teaching Force for a meaningful benchmarking visit to the SNED Program of Ormoc City SPED Integrated School.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share practices, exchange ideas, and learn from one another in strengthening programs and services for learners with special educational needs. This month of February 2026, our school proudly celebrates National Down Syndrome Awareness Month with hearts full of acceptance, love, and inclusion.

Last Friday, Feb 20, everyone wore mismatched socks โ€” a simple yet powerful symbol of diversity. The socks may not match, but they still work perfectly together, reminding us that differences make our community stronger and more beautiful.

The extra chromosome in individuals with Down syndrome is often represented by chromosomes that look like socks โ€” which is why wearing mismatched socks has become a global sign of support and awareness.

Through this small act, we send a big message:
Different is not less.
Different is valuable.
Different is worth celebrating. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
