CLASS SUSPENSION | August 19, 2026 (Wednesday)

Oriental Mindoro is among the provinces covered by the implementation of alternative work arrangements in government offices on August 19, 2026, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129.

Consistent with the directive, Bansud NHS- RSHS for MIMAROPA will adopt an Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) to ensure the continuity of learning while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all learners and personnel.

All learners, parents, teaching, and non-teaching personnel are advised to take note of this directive and remain guided by official announcements.

CLASS SUSPENSION | August 18, 2026 (Tuesday)

In view of the prevailing inclement weather and to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, teachers, and school personnel, classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School are hereby suspended in all public and private schools in the Municipality of Bansud on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
This suspension is implemented by order of Municipal Mayor Ronaldo M. Morada as a precautionary measure to safeguard the welfare of the Bansudeños.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, prioritize their safety, and continue monitoring official announcements from the Local Government Unit and the school for further updates.

CLASS SUSPENSION | August 10, 2026 (Monday)

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 123, issued by the Presidential Communications Office, work-from-home arrangements in government offices shall be implemented in the areas covered by the directive on August 10, 2026, including the Province of Oriental Mindoro.

In accordance with the same issuance, and unless otherwise directed by the respective Local Chief Executives (LCEs), alternative learning modalities (ALMs) shall likewise be implemented for classes at all levels in public and private schools in the affected areas on the same date.

Last year's HighSchoolympics drew inspiration from Raya and the Last Dragon—a story that celebrated trust, unity, and collective hope. It reminded us that communities flourish when individuals choose to believe in one another.

This year, we embrace a new narrative inspired by Spider-Man, an enduring symbol of courage, accountability, and selfless service. At the heart of this inspiration is a principle that extends far beyond fiction:

"With great power comes great responsibility."

In education, power is not measured by strength alone, but by our knowledge, talents, leadership, and influence. These gifts find their highest purpose when exercised with integrity, compassion, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

With this, RSHS HighSchoolympics 2026 proudly presents its official theme: WEBBED AS ONE: SPIDER-VERSE OF CHAMPIONS. The theme envisions our school community as an interconnected web, where every individual strengthens the whole. Like the diverse heroes of the Spider-Verse, each student brings unique abilities and perspectives, yet genuine excellence is achieved only through collaboration, mutual respect, resilience, and shared responsibility.

More than a celebration of athletic excellence, the RSHS HighSchoolympics is a celebration of character. It is where leadership is tested, teamwork is strengthened, and champions are defined not only by the medals they earn, but by the values they uphold.
