Future-Ready MINSUans!✨

Look back. On December 3, 2025, the MINSU Laboratory High School celebrated Career Guidance Day, headed by Dr. Heidelita G. Bumoya, Guidance Counselor III, in coordination with Ms. Lannie Enriquez, Principal of Laboratory High School.

Students participated in sessions facilitated by our very own guidance team: Dr. Bumohya and Mr. Kim Renz P. Coling, Administrative Aide, guided them on Career Guidance Planning, while Ms. Kyla Danica O. Mayupao, Psychometrician, conducted the RIASEC assessment and interpretation.

It was a day filled with exploration, self-discovery, and preparation for the future helping our MINSUans find direction and create opportunities for their dreams. To top it all off, our MINSUans had fun expressing their dreams by wearing their desired future career attire truly bringing their ambitions to life!

LOOK BACK. Kapehan 2025: A Heartwarming Finale! 💚

Our last day of Kapehan sa Guidance with the theme, "Kape't Bisig; Warm Cups, Warm Hearts", overflowed with joy, reflection, and togetherness. We were enlightened by Dr. Heidelita G. Bumohya, Bro. Jeremias Palomar, and Bro. Robbie Magdayao, and lifted in song through the heartfelt community singing led by Sis. Quin Palomar. 🎶

Everyone also enjoyed fun brain teasers with Ms. Kyla Danica Mayupao, plus free lugaw, warm coffee, chocolate drinks, and milk shared with smiles, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

It was truly a beautiful ending to a week filled with warmth, learning, and connection. 'Cause here in the Guidance Office every cup comes with care.

We are grateful for your presence and participation MinSUans. ’Til next Kapehan!

Kamusta MinSUans? 🤗

DID YOU KNOW?
Today is World Kindness Day | November 13 💛

First celebrated in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, this day reminds us of the power of empathy, compassion, and kindness in uniting people across the globe. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the goodness around us and choose to share it.

No act of kindness is ever too small. Together, let’s make kindness our way of life.

DAY 4 HIGHLIGHTS | Kape’t Bisig: Warm Cups, Warm Hearts ✨

“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22–23

Yesterday morning, through the sharing of the Word of God led by Bro. Jeremias Palomar, students were reminded that while we all face stress, challenges, and moments of heaviness, we have a God who will never fail us. His love does not run out. His mercies are new every day. Whatever burden you are carrying today, surrender it to Him. He will provide the strength to endure and the courage to move forward.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kim Renz Coling, Registered Psychometrician and Guidance Admin Aide facilitated a session on Self-Care Practices, highlighting the truth that you can't pour from an empty cup. Self-care is not selfish, it allows us to continue serving others with a full heart.

He also led a reflective activity titled “Fill Your Cup”, where participants identified the things that drain their energy and the habits, people, and practices that refill their emotional and mental cup. The goal is to recognize what nourishes you, and make space for it.

And as always, we continued giving free coffee, biscuits, and warm macaroni soup, creating a space where conversations, comfort, and connection can thrive.

Kapehan Day 2 Recap ☕

Yesterday, even with the typhoon and gloomy weather, the Kapehan continued.
Thank you to our employees who took the time to raise their concerns and openly talk about our students’ mental health. And to our student dormers who dropped by for warm conversations and a comforting cup of coffee, we appreciate your presence. 🤍

A safe space, a warm drink, and someone willing to listen can make all the difference.

Now, the students are back! We continue today as our doors remain open until 4:30pm. See you. ✨

Kapehan sa Guidance 2025 - Day 1 Recap ✨
Mental Health 101: Kamusta ka ba talaga?

Thank you to everyone who joined us in yesterday’s meaningful session with Dr. Heidelita G. Bumohya, PhD, RGC, RSW.
We opened the space not just for coffee, but for real conversations - the kind that remind us that asking “Kamusta ka ba talaga?” matters.

Your presence made Day 1 warm, reflective, and heart-filled. 🤍

As we continue with Day 2 today, the Kapehan remains open for our employees while classes are on asynchronous mode. Kapehan runs until Friday, November 7, 2025.
Let’s keep showing up for ourselves and for each other. ☕
