As the entry of Columban College, Inc. with the collaborative production of 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗼 𝗻𝗶 𝗔𝗽𝗼 (𝗗𝗼𝗸 𝗔𝗽𝗼), 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗝𝗦𝗪𝗔𝗣), and 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱-𝗣𝗛, enters the top 10, the production team kindly asks the Columbanite community to 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 (𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 ❤ 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 👍) to the official poster to support the entry of our school.

The documentary film follows the journey of the first refugee scholars graduated in the Philippines. Their achievement is deeply connected to a school that became one of the first in the country to open its doors to refugees. In celebrating these graduates and the institution that believed in them, the film reveals how one bold decision can create pathways for many others to follow.

The ceremony served as a momentous celebration of the graduates’ academic journey—from sleepless nights spent drafting plates and refining designs to overcoming challenges that shaped them into future architects and innovators. Surrounded by proud families, faculty members, mentors, and fellow graduates, the Architecture Batch of 2026 officially joined the ranks of professionals ready to leave their mark on the built environment.

A highlight of the ceremony was the hooding rite, where each graduate was vested with their academic hood symbolizing the culmination of years of rigorous training, creative exploration, and countless hours spent mastering the art and science of architecture.

Surrounded by faculty, mentors, and proud families, the graduates were honored not only for their academic achievements but also for their readiness to design, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to society. The faculty of the Columban College, Inc. – College of Architecture attended the UAP National Convention 2026, themed “Above and Beyond,” held on April 16–18, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center, Manila. The participating faculty members were Ar. Zeus Bautista, Ar. Xyrenz Sheen Eugenio, Ar. Marisol Mandadero, Ar. Chester Quipot, and Ar. Jennifer Sta. Juana.

The three-day convention featured a range of activities that brought together architecture professionals, educators, and practitioners from across the country. It provided a venue for meaningful engagement, fostering collaboration, professional networking, and the exchange of ideas. A series of webinars and seminars highlighted diverse topics, enriching participants’ knowledge and strengthening their competencies in the field.

Throughout the event, architects shared valuable insights and experiences, emphasizing the importance of connecting design with purpose to contribute to societal development and uphold professional excellence. The convention reinforced a shared commitment among participants to advance the standards of architectural practice.

On the second day, while attending the CPD seminars, Ar. Xyrenz Sheen E. Eugenio also participated in the Launching of the CIAP Document 102 Learning Course Materials for the Academe on April 17, 2026, at the AVR, College of Architecture, Beato Angelico Building, University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

Overall, the event provided an enriching professional experience, fostering lasting connections and inspiring continuous growth among faculty members. The College of Architecture likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to Columban College, Inc. for its support in enabling faculty participation in this significant national convention.
