Dalawampu’t isang taon ng pananahimik,
ng mga tinig na pinilit ikandado,
ng mga pangarap na tinakpan ng dilim.
Ngunit may alaala ang bayan—
na ang kalayaan ay hindi hinihingi, ipinaglalaban.

Kaya nang dumating ang sandali,
hindi sila umatras, hindi sila natakot.
Hawak ang isa’t isa, buo ang paninindigan,
ibinalik nila ang dangal ng bansa—
at isinulat sa kasaysayan ang lakas ng pagkakaisa.

𝙀𝘿𝙎𝘼 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 40𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 🇵🇭

Sa ika-40 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, hindi lamang natin ginugunita ang isang makasaysayang tagumpay—inaalala natin ang responsibilidad na kaakibat nito. Noong 1986, ipinakita ng milyun-milyong Pilipino na kayang baguhin ng nagkakaisang mamamayan ang takbo ng isang bansa. Hindi ito simpleng protesta; isa itong mapayapang pag-aaklas laban sa pang-aabuso at diktadura. Sa harap ng tangke at sandata, tumindig ang taumbayan nang may tapang at pananampalataya. Ang tagumpay ng EDSA ay naging simbolo ng demokrasya hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo.

Pagkalipas ng apat na dekada, nananatiling makabuluhan ang aral ng EDSA sa kasalukuyan. Ipinapaalala nito na ang kalayaan ay hindi permanente at maaaring mawala kapag pinabayaan. Ang demokrasya ay hindi lamang karapatan kundi tungkulin—isang bagay na dapat aktibong pinangangalagaan ng bawat henerasyon. Sa panahon ng maling impormasyon at paghahati-hati ng opinyon, mas mahalaga ang pagiging mapanuri at mulat sa kasaysayan. Ang diwa ng People Power ay buhay sa bawat Pilipinong handang manindigan para sa katotohanan at hustisya. Sa paggunita ng ika-40 taon, nawa’y piliin nating maging tagapag-ingat ng kalayaang minsang ipinaglaban sa EDSA.
