Sta. Cruz Elementary School SELG officers and Representatives Join Capacity Building on Child Protection and Leadership Training

On November 27, 2025, the Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG) Officers of Sta. Cruz Elementary School, together with its Teacher-SELG Adviser, proudly participated in the Capacity Building Orientation on Child Protection with the theme “Empowered Children: Rights, Responsibilities, and Leadership Training.”
Held at Barangay Olingan Multi-Purpose Gym in Dipolog City, this event was part of the Children’s Month Celebration 2025, where all Olingan schools were represented by their SELG officers. The training aimed to strengthen young leaders in promoting child rights, responsible leadership, and active participation in school and community development.

Happy Teachers’ Day!

The Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) of Sta. Cruz Elementary School, spearheaded by our dedicated SELG Adviser, Mrs. Marissa R. Lazaro, proudly led a heartfelt School-Based Teachers’ Day Celebration as a tribute to all our beloved teachers and School Head. 💖

The celebration was filled with joy, music, and gratitude through a colorful parade, song numbers, ukulele performances, dance presentations, teacher impersonation, and the giving of tokens — all prepared with love by our SELG Officers.

Learners also shared their messages of appreciation through our Teachers’ Appreciation Wall, expressing how much our teachers inspire and guide us every day.

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2025, kami, ang inyong Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Officers, ay buong pusong nag-aanyaya sa lahat ng mag-aaral na makiisa sa ating mga aktibidad at paligsahan.

🌏 Sa temang “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa”, atin pong itaguyod at ipagmalaki ang ating sariling wika na nagsisilbing tulay ng pagkakaunawaan at pagkakaisa ng bawat Pilipino.

🇵🇭 Sama-sama nating ipakita na ang ating wika ay hindi lamang kasangkapan sa komunikasyon, kundi isang pamana ng ating kasaysayan at kultura na dapat alagaan at palaguin.

Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Officers of Sta.Cruz ES showed their active support for Brigada Eskwela 2025 by leading school cleaning activities, living out the theme “Sama-sama para sa Bayang Bumabasa!”

With brooms in hand and hearts ready to serve, our young leaders proved that a clean, safe, and reading-friendly environment starts with teamwork and dedication!

Sta. Cruz Elementary School Successfully Holds Online SELG Election

Sta. Cruz Elementary School successfully conducted the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Election for SY 2025-2026 via Google Sheets Form on February 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:33 PM. A total of 372 learners from Grades 2 to 6 participated in the digital voting process, ensuring a fair and inclusive election.
The success of the event was attributed to thorough preparedness and the use of five (5) laptops, three (3) tablets, and three (3) Android phones. The LG Comelec Electoral Board Committee oversaw the election, while the 2024 SELG Officers served as poll watchers. These learners poll watchers were trained by Teacher Marissa Lazaro, SELG Adviser, on how to facilitate the online election using digital tools.
With this seamless and technology-driven election, Sta. Cruz Elementary School continues to set a standard for innovative, efficient, and transparent learner governance elections.

Sta. Cruz Elementary School Gears Up for SELG 2025 with Pre-Election Activities

Olingan ,Dipolog City – In preparation for the upcoming Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) 2025 elections on February 17,2025, Sta. Cruz Elementary School has kicked off a series of pre-election activities aimed at ensuring a smooth and organized electoral process.

The activities include the Application Period, in which aspiring young leaders submit their application for candidacy. This is followed by Pictorials of Candidates, where official campaign photos are taken to be used in election materials.
As the Campaign Period commences, candidates actively engage with their fellow learners, presenting their platforms and encouraging participation. To ensure transparency, the Preparation of the List of Candidates is conducted, finalizing those who will appear on the digital ballot.
To modernize the voting process, the school has also begun the Preparation of an Online Platform Link via Google Forms, allowing learners to cast their votes digitally. Additionally, various canvassing materials are being distributed to raise awareness and promote voter engagement.

The SELG elections at Sta. Cruz Elementary School continue to serve as a vital platform for fostering leadership, civic engagement, and democratic participation among young learners.
