BUILDING LEADERS, ONE DRILL AT A TIME️🎖

On February 1 2026, the third training day for Military Service 2 of ROTC for Basic Cadets of ESTI - ROTC Unit was held at Erhard Systems Technological Institute - Odiongan Campus, Brgy. Poctoy, Odiongan, Romblon. The day started with exercising the basic drills through ceremonies executed through ceremonial protocols, honed physical coordination and teamwork while instilling respect for tradition and protocol. By this practice, cadets may help improved their discipline, coordination, and teamwork.

Addition to this, a dedicated discussion by C/MAJ STEPHEN DHIE F ALBORO 1CL, Battalion Training and Operation Officer (S3) about personal development was a successful, focused on building leadership qualities, self-discipline, goal-setting, and resilience. Cadets learned how the values fostered by ceremonial drills align with personal growth, preparing them to become capable, principled individuals within the ROTC community and beyond. This training day strengthened both ceremonial competencies and personal character, shaping cadets into future leaders.

From goal-setting to resilience, our cadets learned that the values practiced on the parade ground are the same ones that build principled leaders for the future.💂‍♀️

The Second Training day for Military Service 2 of ROTC for Basic Cadets of ESTI - ROTC Unit was held last January 25, 2026 (Sunday) at Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon. The training was started with a inspection to all basic cadet’s and followed by military basic drills. Addition to this, a discussion about Gender and Development (GAD) was conducted by Sgt Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA, providing cadets with essential information regarding the importance of inclusivity and professionalism within the ROTC community.

This training day helped develop both physical skills and social awareness, shaping cadets into responsible and well-rounded individuals.

The first training day for Military Service 2 of ROTC for Basic Cadets of ESTI - ROTC Unit was held last January 18, 2026 at Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon. The program conducted their regular training session, focusing on military drills and maneuvers. Addition to this, the activity was focused on the MS2 Orientation Program, providing cadets with essential information regarding ROTC grading systems, policies, expectations, and training guidelines under the supervision of Sgt Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA.

By prioritizing proper orientation and organization, this activity serves as a cornerstone in the ROTC’s mission to produce responsible and disciplined leaders.

The Eleventh Training Day of the ROTC program for Basic Cadets of Erhard Systems Technological Institute, held last November 16, 2025, at ESTI Covered Court Brgy. Poctoy, Odiongan, Romblon. The basic cadets focused exclusively on conducting basic military drills, led by Sgt. Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA. The drills aimed to develop and refine the cadets' skills and proficiency in fundamental military maneuvers and movements. After that we had a lecture on Military Drills And Ceremonies that guide the cadets and enhance their ability and skills in military drills.

The Tenth Training Day of ROTC Program for Basic Cadets of Erhard Systems Technological Institute, held last October 26, 2025, the Basic Cadets of ESTI-ROTCU underwent basic military drills, at the 1705th CDC Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon as part of their ROTC program led by Sgt. Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA. The drills aimed to hone their skills in fundamental military maneuvers and movements. Additionally, we had a lecture on Military Leadership, focusing on the principles and values that guide effective leadership in the military context.

The Ninth Training Day of the ROTC Program for Basic Cadets of ESTI-ROTC Unit, held last October 12, 2025, at the 1705th CDC Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, commenced with an intensive session of basic military drills led by Sgt Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA. The drills aimed to develop and refine the cadets' skills and proficiency in fundamental military maneuvers and movements.

The cadets then proceeded to take their last examination on military knowledge and protocols, putting their skills and understanding to the test.

Following the exam, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a comprehensive lecture for the cadets. The lecture covered various types of drugs, their effects, and the agency's role in combating drug-related crimes. Additionally, the PDEA personnel provided insights into their profession, sharing their expertise and experiences with the cadets.

The Eighth Training Day of the ROTC Program for Basic Cadets of ESTI-ROTC Unit, held last October 5, 2025, at the 1705th CDC Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, commenced a session of basic military drills led by Sgt Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA, the drills aimed to develop and refine the cadets' skills and proficiency in fundamental military maneuvers and movements.

After that, the cadets proceeded to take a comprehensive examination on military knowledge and procedures. This assessment evaluated their understanding of the concepts and protocols covered during the training, ensuring they were well-prepared for future challenges.

The Coastal Clean-up Drive Activity of ESTI-ROTC Unit together with ESTI Criminology and Criminology Department Faculty, was held on September 30, 2025, at Brgy. Tabing-Dagat, Odiongan, Romblon. It took a meaningful turn as they participated in a coastal clean-up initiative. Led by LTC JONATHAN M ESCOPALAO (Inf) PA, the basic cadets and advanced officers of Army ROTC joined forces with the Bachelor of Science in Criminology students from Erhard System Technological School, accompanied by the Criminology Department Faculty, headed by Mrs. Rosalina N. Reginio, School Administrator. This collaborative effort aimed to promote community service, environmental awareness, and teamwork among the participants. Through this activity, the cadets demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility while fostering a sense of camaraderie with their peers from another institution.

The Seventh Training Day of ROTC Program for Basic Cadets of the ESTI-ROTC Unit, held last September 28, 2025, at the 1705th CDC, Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, took an unexpected turn. Instead of drills, the cadets joined forces to clean up the camp after the recent typhoon. Led by TSg Jay Lord Y Grafane (Inf) PA, they worked together to clear debris, repair damaged facilities, and restore order to the camp.

Through this effort, the cadets demonstrated their teamwork, discipline, and commitment to their duties. The clean-up drive not only helped restore the camp but also fostered camaraderie and esprit de corps among the cadets. Despite the challenges posed by the typhoon, the cadets showed resilience and determination, embodying the values of military service.

The Sixth Training Day of the ROTC Program for Basic Cadets of ESTI-ROTC Unit, held last September 21, 2025, at the 1705th CDC, Brgy. Dapawan, Odiongan, Romblon, with commenced with an intensive session of basic military drills led by Sgt Marlon V Moreno (Inf) PA. The drills aimed to develop and refine the cadets’ skills abd proficiency in fundamental military maneuvers and movements.

Following the drill session, the cadets participated in a lecture on Military Leadership and the Military Justice System. The lecture covered key principles of leadership, including “Lead by Example” and “Communicate Effectively”, as well as the importance of the Military Justice System in maintaining discipline and order within the military. Through these activities, the cadets gained valuable knowledge and skills in military drills, leadership, and justice, further enhancing their development as future military leaders.
