As the final session to the workshop, SAS personnel translate policy and frameworks into practical solutions through a high-impact Case-Based Action Planning exercise.
Designed to mirror complex and realistic administrative and student welfare challenges, the activity required various SAS units to analyze, interpret, and present comprehensive action plans for assigned hypothetical scenarios. Each case presented intricate dilemmas, ranging from student grievance management and emergency response to regulatory compliance, testing the teams' ability to apply relevant laws, CHED guidelines, and institutional protocols in real time.
Serving as the panel of judges, the SAS 360 Workshop speakers evaluated each presentation, offering critical critiques, legal guidance, and administrative advice. Their expert feedback helped refine the proposed intervention strategies, ensuring that every resolution strategy remains legally sound, procedurally fair, and rooted in student-centered care.
By putting policy into practice, this hands-on session further equipped SAS staff with the critical-thinking skills and collaborative mindset needed to navigate high-stakes situations across the university efficiently and compassionately.

To further refine how the university connects with and serves its community, SAS 360 dedicated part of Day 2 of the workshop to an intensive training on Professional Communication.
The session was led by RSU's Strategic Communication Officer, ๐ ๐. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐๐ป๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป, who walked participants through actionable methodologies designed to standardize university correspondence, manage high-stakes conversations, and preserve public trust.
Ms. Punongbayan provided actionable strategies on drafting official correspondence, ensuring that all letters, emails, and memoranda maintain clarity, correctness, and a consistent institutional tone. She also discussed optimizing official communication channels to guarantee that vital notices reach students promptly and transparently across both digital and traditional platforms.
Crucially, the talk addressed de-escalation techniques for handling disgruntled clients, equipping SAS personnel with empathetic, solution-oriented approaches to resolve student grievances constructively. Additionally, Ms. Punongbayan outlined crisis communication protocols, emphasizing structured messaging that prioritizes accuracy, institutional integrity, and calm during high-pressure or critical university events.
Armed with these frameworks, SAS personnel continue to raise the bar for professional, transparent, and compassionate student engagement.

Through an engaging and interactive session, SAS personnel reflected on the core values of public duty yesterday, August 4, 2026, on Day 2 of the SAS 360 Workshop at the RSU Quadrangle and via Zoom teleconferencing.
The session focused on Republic Act No. 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees) and was led by RSU Chief Administrative Officer, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ ๐. ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐.
Through discussions and practical scenarios, Mr. Cuevas guided participants through the essential benchmarks for delivering exemplary student services. The participants learned about upholding commitment to public interest, professionalism, justness, and sincerity in every student transaction and administrative workflow.
They also learned how to navigate institutional policies and national statutes that govern public service to ensure fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory assistance to all students.
With Mr. Cuevasโ guidance and administrative insights, SAS personnel are continually empowered to serve with honor, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to student welfare!
