Meet RN Bea Jonah A. Rasgo, a 23-year-old proud resident of Sitio Bato, Ochando, New Washington, Aklan. She is the daughter of Mr. Ralph V. Rasgo and Mrs. Jonabelle A. Rasgo. Bea is a 2024 graduate of Aklan State University - Banga Campus, continuing her legacy of excellence from her time at Ochando Elementary School.
As a member of the Class of 2014 under the guidance of Mrs. Daryl P. Regalado, she graduated as the Valedictorian of her batch. Bea’s achievements reflect her dedication, determination, and the strong foundation she built in her early years.
Why Nursing?
- This was also the question that was given to me during the interview for me to be admitted to formerly BSN program of ASU, now ASU-CON. If I recall my answer correctly, that would be "to be able to help those who are sick and in need of care especially within the community".
While that is still the goal, If asked today, my answer would be a tad different. And that would be "I believe that God called me to be in this profession not only to take care of those who are sick, but also, those who are in need of medical assistance and guidance in order for them to achieve optimum level of health through a holistic approach of health care". -Bea
Message to the younger generation?
- While you might not still grasp the whole "adulting" concept of dreaming and achieving your dreams for that matter, I hope that through those dreams or goals that you have right now, it would motivate you to not only do well in school, but also, to be a good citizen in character and dream bigger to make difference in our society.
You would think that, "OA naman, make a difference talaga? hirap naman 'non!" But believe me, all the big changes and differences that took place, started from those micro changes that we have committed before. Also, never forget to be greatful and look back to those people that were used by God to help you along the way to your success. And most important of all, always thank God who is the source and giver of everything.
I, myself is a testament of God's grace and goodnesss! I would've not reached this milestone if not for him. Put God first in everything and if it his will for you, then the rest would just fall into place and will lead you to your success. -Bea
