Online learning is the newest and most popular form of distance education today. Within the past decade, it has had a major impact on postsecondary education and the trend is only increasing. Online learning is like for students and how it has changed the role of the instructor. Online learning is education that takes place over the Internet. It is often referred to as “e-learning” among other terms. However, online learning is just one type of “distance learning” -the umbrella term for any learning that takes place across distance and not in a traditional classroom. Why online distance learning and why now? Online distance learning meets the needs of an ever-growing population of students who cannot or prefer not to participate in traditional classroom settings. These learners include those unable to attend traditional classes, who cannot find a particular class at their chosen institution, who live in remote locations, who work full-time and can only study at or after work, and those who simply prefer to learn independently.👨🏻‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫

"""""""I am MJ. As an ESL teacher/tutor, I am goal-oriented and assertive to provide the appropriate knowledge for my prospective students. Being decisive in attaining my objectives as an opinionated teacher. I will make purposeful strategies and methods to be used in giving quality service to my clients.

I've been teaching K-12 students for the past six years. My students heightened their awareness of correct usage of English grammar in writing and speaking. They gave oral presentations and received feedback on their performance. Their reading fluency skill was also improved through extensive reading. Their vocabulary is enlarged by keeping a vocabulary journal that developed their ability as critical readers and writers.

I love enriching students’ lives by teaching them English online. I help students by creating lesson plans/speaking exercises/scaffolding/creating games. My teaching style is patient and caring/focusing on pronunciation/providing good guidance.

I have excellent time management and organizational skills, and I am a lifelong learner. I attended various training sessions that assisted me in improving my teaching styles when dealing with both children and adults.

"The major punctuation marks are the period, comma, exclamation point, question mark, semicolon, and colon. These marks organize sentences and give them structure.

The period
A period (.) ends a declarative sentence. It appears immediately after the last letter of a sentence.

Sandra walked to school this morning.

The comma
A comma (,) separates a series of independent sentences, nouns, adjectives, verbs, or phrases. That sentence you just read was a good example of commas separating nouns in a series. When a comma connects two independent sentences, you’ll usually see it with a conjunction (like and, but, or). For example:

He went to the movies, and his wife went to the mall.

The exclamation point
An exclamation point (!) ends a sentence emphatically. It replaces a period to express strong feelings, like excitement, anger, or surprise. Some sentences that tend to use exclamation points include:

Help!
Happy birthday!

The semicolon
A semicolon (;) separates sentences that are closely related but grammatically independent. For example:

My brother isn’t feeling well; he’s been sick for a week.
The two independent sentences could be separated by a period, but the semicolon works here since the two sentences are closely related.

The colon
A colon (:) can introduce a list or a single item. For example:

I need a bunch of supplies for school: pencils, glue, crayons, and scissors.
Here’s an example of a colon introducing a single item:

There’s one thing I want for my birthday: a car.😀😀

"Topic sentences help make the main idea of a paragraph clearer
and give the paragraph a sense of coherence.
What is the
purpose of a
topic sentence?
Topic sentences have many purposes. A topic sentence:
1. Makes a claim – a mini “thesis” statement,
2. Explains what the paragraph will say,
3. Unifies the sentences of a paragraph,
4. Relates the paragraph to the purpose of the paper, and
5. Supports the claim made in the paper.
Where does
my topic
sentence go?
A topic sentence is usually the first or second sentence of a
paragraph. This will help the reader understand the paragraph’s
point before reading it. The topic sentence may sometimes be
the final sentence – this is used to effectively “wrap up” the
paragraph and emphasize a point.
Do I always
need a topic
sentence?
No – if your paragraph is part of a narrative (narrating events),
continues to explain the same idea as the previous paragraph, or
is shorter and serving as a transitional paragraph, then it does
no need for a topic sentence. 😀😀

An auxiliary verb helps the main (full) verb and is also called a "helping verb." With auxiliary verbs, you can write sentences in different tenses, moods, or voices. Auxiliary verbs are: be, do, have, will, shall, would, should, can, could, may, might, must, ought, etc. I think I should study harder to master English. I am having a cup of coffee. You have been practicing hard. It was written by a petitioner. You may choose what you like. The verb forms of be, do, and have can be used either as a main (full) verb or an auxiliary verb. The following examples show these verbs used as auxiliary verbs. 1. "Be" as an auxiliary verb a.Used in progressive sentences: I am taking a bath. She is preparing dinner for us. They have been studying all night. b. Used in passive sentences: I was given a free meal. He was seen by fans at the airport. This song has been sung by all nations. 2."Do" as an auxiliary verb a. Used in negative sentences: I do not know the truth. She doesn’t agree with me. They didn’t arrive here yet. b. Used in questions: Do you want to have another one? Did he finish his homework? Do we need to keep going straight? 3."Have" as an auxiliary verb a. Used in perfect sentences: I have been following you for a mile. We have done a lot so far. She had been queen of the town.😀😊

"Why do we feel the need to drown out the other side, even if we don’t agree with them? Is it because we resent any other viewpoint but our own?

Or is it fear: fear that the other person might actually have a valid point, that beliefs we have held close to our heart could be flawed, that we might, in fact, be not as wise as we thought we were?

A healthy debate allows both sides the opportunity to express beliefs, opinions, and facts. And research allows each party the opportunity to not only independently verify what has been stated but also gain additional and valuable information.

The more we learn about all sides of an issue, the better able we are to adopt a position based on facts, not emotion. The biggest enemy of your life is yourself, if you cannot manage your inner self and intuitions, the fear and lack of confidence can kill everything.😀😊

"Active voice means that a sentence has a subject that acts upon its verb. Passive voice means that a subject is a recipient of a verb’s action. You may have learned that the passive voice is weak and incorrect, but it isn’t that simple. When used correctly and in moderation, the passive voice is fine.

In English grammar, verbs have five properties: voice, mood, tense, person, and number; here, we are concerned with voice. The two grammatical voices are active and passive.
What’s the difference between active and passive voice?
Active voice
When the subject of a sentence performs the verb’s action, we say that the sentence is in the active voice. Sentences in the active voice have a strong, direct, and clear tone. Here are some short and straightforward examples of active voice.

Active voice examples
Monkeys adore bananas.
The cashier counted the money.

Passive voice

A sentence is in the passive voice, on the other hand, when the subject is acted on by the verb. The passive voice is always constructed with a conjugated form of to be plus the verb’s past participle. Doing this usually generates a preposition as well. That sounds much more complicated than it is—passive voice is actually quite easy to detect. For these examples of passive voice, we will transform the three active sentences above to illustrate the difference.

Passive voice examples
Bananas are adored by monkeys.
The money was counted by the cashier.😀😊

"Teachers are people who help to pass knowledge to other people. They are important people in society because they help to pass wisdom to the people in society. This helps to fight illiteracy in society. Apart from teaching, teachers help in ensuring that the learners in society are disciplined. This is because teachers act as strict disciplinarians in the schools where they teach. They also help to evaluate the capability of students to advise their parents on the requirements of each child. Teachers also act as parents because they take care of the learners while at school. There are various characteristics of good teachers. These characteristics show what makes a person to be termed a good teacher.

One of the characteristics of a good teacher is that he/she should be a good communicator. A teacher must be able to communicate to students well because they are required to pass knowledge to students through communication. Another characteristic of a good teacher is that he/she calm. Do you still remember about your teacher?😊😊"

"The idea of fun in learning or fun in education can be a hard one to grasp. Yet, at heart, we all know that learning is fun. Or at least… it should be. It shouldn’t be so hard to learn and have fun, should it?

Do you remember the last time you sat down just to learn something new or improve your skills at work? Though the idea of self-development is exciting, the process is usually a bit dull. There’s a lot of hard, boring work to do before you can reap the rewards. Sometimes it’s tough to motivate yourself.
Fun has a positive effect on motivation levels, determining what we learn and how much we retain. Learning isn’t a one-off event. It requires repetition and dedication. If the experience is fun, learners will stay curious and keep coming back for more. Book an appointment now just check the details below.😍😍😉"
