The Supreme Student Government (SSG) – Murtha Campus encourages all qualified and interested OMSUANs who are willing to take on the responsibility of student leadership to consider running as Board Members and Auxiliary Officers of the Mother Organization (SSG) in the upcoming Special Election 2026.

This is an opportunity for students who are committed to service, representation, and meaningful leadership to step forward and become part of the SSG.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129 issued by the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the Office of the University President hereby directs the implementation of a hybrid learning modality across all OMSU campuses tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

In line with this, the Office likewise directs the adoption of a work from home arrangement for all administrative and academic units.

Should the concerned Local Government Unit (LGU) subsequently issue an announcement or directive suspending work or classes, such directive shall prevail and be observed accordingly.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐥𝐕 - 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞

The Agri Salubong at Occidental Mindoro State University – Murtha Campus ended with an exciting and unforgettable challenge—the Obstacle Course!

All freshmen from the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry (BSAF), and Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) took on the final challenge of Agri Salubong, putting their strength, teamwork, determination, and courage to the test.

The freshmen crawled through the mud, maneuvered through tire obstacles, passed through tire holes, crossed a course filled with randomly placed ropes, and crawled through the muddy path beneath ropes. Every obstacle brought excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments!

More than just a physical challenge, the obstacle course reminded our freshmen that every challenge can be overcome with perseverance, teamwork, and determination. It was the perfect way to end an Agri Salubong filled with fun, friendship, and new experiences.

Congratulations, Freshmen! You made it through the challenge! Welcome to the OMSU family—where every journey begins with courage and determination.

The Agri Salubong at Occidental Mindoro State University – Murtha Campus became even more exciting as the freshmen participated in the Palaro ng Lahi!

Freshmen from the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry (BSAF), and Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) joined fun and engaging activities such as Jack en Poy, Sack Race, and the Agri Talk Ice Breaker.

During the Agri Talk, the Student Council prepared different questions about the history of OMSU, scientific names, the university president, Agriculture, and other interesting facts about OMSU and the agricultural field.

All the freshmen actively participated and enjoyed the games, creating laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments with their fellow freshmen. The winners also received exciting prizes as a reward for their participation and effort!

More than just games, the Palaro ng Lahi strengthened friendship, teamwork, confidence, and camaraderie among our new OMSUans. Welcome to the OMSU family, Freshmen! May your journey be filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐥𝐥 - 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐔𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐘

The Agri Salubong 2026 Campus Tour was successfully conducted for the First Year and Transferee students of Occidental Mindoro State University – Murtha Campus, providing them with an opportunity to become acquainted with the University’s facilities, learning spaces, offices, and academic environment.

The campus tour commenced at the Upper Campus, where the students, together with the Murtha Campus Student Council, particularly the Mayors and Vice Mayors of the BSA Organization, BTVTEd Organization, and BSAF Society, visited and explored the Nursery, Audio-Visual Room (AVR), Community Outreach Center, AgriMech, Theory Building, and other facilities within the Upper Campus.

The group then proceeded to the Lower Campus, where the students were introduced to various academic and administrative facilities, including the Andres Bonifacio Building (AB1–AB4), Food Processing Room, Dean’s Office, Program Chair’s Office, Campus Director’s Office, Gabriela Silang Buildings (GS1–GS3), Registrar’s Office, Cashier’s Office, Library, Laboratory Rooms, and Faculty Rooms.

The campus tour culminated at the Gymnasium – Murtha Campus, where the First Year students were formally welcomed by the remaining members of the Student Council, the Supreme Student Government Governor, and fellow upper-year students of the campus.

Through the 1st Year Campus Tour, the students were given a meaningful opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new academic environment, recognize the various facilities and offices they will encounter throughout their university journey, and develop a stronger sense of belonging within the OMSU community.

The activity marks another significant milestone in welcoming our new OMSUans as they begin their academic journey at Occidental Mindoro State University – Murtha Campus.
