The environment is connected to our lives, without it, we cannot live for a long time.
THE ROLE OF STEM STRAND IN THE ENVIRONMENT:
When it comes to environmental protection, STEM education's major purpose is to raise as much awareness as possible; thankfully, education and adequate resources can accomplish this. The finest thing is that it can be learned about by everyone in a community, neighborhood, or culture. STEM Education plays a vital role in conserving the environment because it raises awareness and teaches people how to conserve their natural surroundings. Science and technology can assist in the resolution of some of the world's most pressing issues. Diseases, sicknesses, and problems with livelihood are all caused by environmental factors. People may join together to discuss these challenges and find answers by including environmental education into lesson plans and organising community activities. (TeacherCast, 2018)
Environment and its Importance:
Food, water, air, shelter, and other necessities are provided by the environment, which benefit not only humans but also the animals that reside here. It is essential to many animal, plant, and biological organisms. The abundance of resources in the environment makes it more significant to the people who live on the planet. People are protected by durable nature from disasters such as hurricane-caused floods and landslides.
However, as our population grows and more people become in need, we are increasingly depleting our natural resources. Its ability to house a large number of animals is also diminishing. Cutting down trees, eating meat, and destroying mountains to make way for roads are all contributing to the degradation of our environment. Here are some ways we may help Mother Nature to avoid the imminent depletion of our resources:
1. Begin planting trees in your neighborhood.
2. Posting videos on various social media sites with the goal of preserving and saving our ecosystem.
3. Be a part of any school and community advocacy efforts.
4. Encourage people to pick up rubbish and place it in their allotted trashcans.
5. Use eco-friendly resources to live an environmentally friendly existence.
There are various reasons why we should aspire to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. The cornerstone for preserving our planet, communities, and economy is environmental protection.
