May 8, 2026 – Teachers of Kongkong Elementary School actively participated in the Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies to enhance their understanding of current educational reforms and strengthen effective policy implementation in teaching and learning.

The orientation provided teachers with valuable insights on updated learning systems, learner-centered approaches and strategies that support quality education. It also served as a platform for collaboration and professional growth, empowering educators to adapt innovative practices that address the diverse needs of learners.

Through this activity, teachers reaffirmed their commitment to delivering inclusive, responsive and effective education aligned with the goals of the Department of Education.

In celebration of National Women’s Month, Kongkong Elementary School recognized the invaluable contributions of its women educators who continue to shape young minds with dedication and compassion.

The school highlighted the vital role of women teachers as mentors, leaders and role models who nurture both the academic and personal growth of their learners. Their commitment reflects strength, wisdom and resilience in fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment.

The observance is in line with Republic Act No. 6949, which declares March 8 of every year as National Women’s Day, underscoring the importance of recognizing women’s contributions to nation-building.

Through this celebration, Kongkong Elementary School expressed its heartfelt appreciation to its women educators for their unwavering service and lasting impact on the lives of their students and the community.

February 25, 2026- The school heads of Kasibu West District, led by Ma'am Maria Olivia M. Brazil, District In-Charge, personally conducted a Reading Brigade at Kongkong Elementary School today.

During the activity, each school head was assigned to a specific grade level to directly assess the learners’ reading abilities. They listened to pupils read, evaluated their fluency and comprehension and provided immediate feedback and guidance to help improve their skills.

The hands-on approach allowed the district leaders to closely monitor the reading performance of learners across grade levels and identify areas where additional support may be needed. Through this initiative, the district reinforced its commitment to strengthening foundational literacy and ensuring that every learner receives the necessary assistance to become a proficient reader.

The Reading Brigade highlights the collaborative effort of district leaders in promoting a strong reading culture and advancing the quality of education in Kasibu West. #

February 13, 2026 – The
‎Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Election at Kongkong Elementary School became more exciting as two official parties, The Voice Party and Unity Party competed for key leadership positions for the School Year 2026–2027.
‎
Learners from Grades 2 to 5 actively participated in the election, demonstrating enthusiasm and responsibility as they selected their future student leaders. During the campaign period, both parties introduced their candidates and platforms, aiming to win the trust and support of their fellow learners.
‎
The Voice Party centered its campaign on empowering students to speak confidently, share ideas and strengthen communication between learners and teachers. Meanwhile, Unity Party promoted teamwork, friendship, school spirit and cooperation across all grade levels.
‎
Candidates delivered speeches, showcased creative campaign posters and engaged in friendly discussions to present their advocacies. The school ensured a fair and orderly voting process with teachers and the Election Committee carefully supervising the casting and counting of votes.
‎
Following the official tally, the winning candidates were proclaimed during a school assembly. School administrators congratulated both parties, emphasizing that participation, respect and sportsmanship are the true victories of the election.

February 10,2026- ‎Strong and Powerful Women’s Association successfully conducted a feeding program at Kongkong Elementary School in support of 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀 (𝙇everaging and 𝙊ptimizing 𝙑ital Nutrition for Learners’ 𝙀ducational Excellence).

The activity aimed to promote proper nutrition, enhance learners’ health and support their academic performance through improved well-being. ‎Through this initiative, all learners of Kongkong Elementary School benefited from the feeding program.

February 6,2026- Rhenz Aldrich Ramos secured an impressive victory at the Provincial Athletic Meet, earning 3rd Place in Overall Singles Boys and 2nd Place in Singles A Badminton. His remarkable achievements highlight his skill, determination and competitive spirit on the court.

Behind this success is the dedicated guidance of his coaches, Ma'am Hazel Marie Joy C. Domingo at the District Level, Ma'am Hazel Marie Joy C. Domingo and Sir Noel V. Sadinas during the Dual Meet and Sir Noel V. Sadinas with Ma'am Gloria Daulayan at the Provincial Meet and with the strong support of the whole school community of Kongkong Elementary School, spearheaded by Sir Alexander Trinidad.

February 2, 2026- Kongkong Elementary School participated in the simultaneous National Toothbrushing Day to promote proper oral hygiene and instill healthy dental habits among pupils. The activity highlighted the importance of brushing teeth regularly to prevent dental problems and maintain overall health.

The program included an orientation on correct toothbrushing techniques, demonstration led by Ma'am Catherine D. Trinidad, Master Teacher II and an actual toothbrushing activity participated in by learners.

Through this meaningful activity, Kongkong Elementary School strengthened its commitment to promoting health awareness and ensuring the well-being of its learners.

‎January 29,2026, Kongkong Elementary School held a simple yet meaningful completion program to recognize the work immersion students of Kongkong Valley National High School for successfully finishing their on-the-job training.

The activity highlighted the students’ dedication, skills, and growth gained from real-world workplace exposure. Sir Alexander Trinidad, School Principal, commended the completers and encouraged them to apply their learnings as they move forward in their academic and career journeys.
