𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | Marcos Sr. declared Martial Law

Today is the anniversary of Proclamation No.1081, which was proclaimed on September 21, 1972, the day when Martial Law was declared over the Philippines.

As a nation, let us commemorate the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, as well as remember the agony of the country during that difficult time.
‎
‎The era of Martial Law is indeed a period of both national martyrdom and heroism for our country. There are many people who suffered from the oppressive regime and those who lost their lives and comfort during the time to secure freedom for the Philippines.

They deserve to be commemorated and their efforts and sacrifices shall never be forgotten.
‎
‎ As a nation, it is vital that we remember this period and the events that occurred during the Martial Law period. It is necessary to learn from the past to re-establish the rule of law in the country, so let us look back on Martial Law with a firm resolve to re-establish the rights of the citizens.

‎ Last August 10 to September 9, the Grade 12 Entrepreneur students have showcased their innovation, creativity and teamwork in running their own business.
‎
As part of their Entrepreneur Subject, the students planned, organized, and operated their own businesses with the guidance of Mrs. Alona Carbonel, Entrepreneurship Adviser.

Students were also able to experience product development, preparation and ex*****on of marketing strategies, interaction with customers, and financial management.
‎
These activities help students to experience real-world situations and develop practical business skills making them prepared and equipped with knowledge, skills and responsibility beyond traditional classroom concepts.𝙏

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | SMU Architecture studs dominate FEA-Family Council on a basketball friendly match, 74-43

SMU Architecture students defeated Fea-Family Council, 74-43, in a friendly basketball game after controlling the scoreboard throughout all four quarters.

SMU immediately took control in the opening quarter, scoring 21 points while holding FEA-Family Council to just 8 points with their strong start gave them an early 13-point advantage.

In the second quarter, SMU continued to build its lead.

The team reached 33, while FEA-Family Council had 22 points.

SMU maintained its offensive pressure and prevented its opponent from closing the gap.

The third quarter saw SMU extend its advantage even further, reaching 50 points, compared to FEA-Family Council's 27 points.

Despite the effort of the FEA-Family Council, SMU remained in control of the game.

Entering the fourth quarter, SMU maintained its momentum and continued adding points to its total.

The team eventually reached 74 points, while FEA-Family Council finished with 43 points.

SMU’s consistent scoring throughout the game is crucial in securing the victory—their early advantage, combined with its ability to maintain the lead in every quarter, made it difficult for FEA-Family Council to make a comeback.

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Fatima Paragons clinches a 4-2 win against Bintawan in a badminton district tournament
‎
‎Intense badminton action commenced as six matches delivered straight-set dominations and a nail-biting three-set thriller during the Municipal Meet 2026 at Bintawan Sur Plaza last September 5.
‎
‎In the Men’s Singles - A Category, Adrian Maga-ao of Fatima crushed Jhamedan Tullioc from Bintawan with explosive smashes and a flawless performance. Maga-ao controlled every rally and closed the match with a dominant 21-11, 21-6 victory.
‎
‎A thrilling match also began in the Women’s Singles - A Category, Lorraine Dacumos (Bintawan) and Mariz Calderon (Fatima) featured a tight chase in the first set, with Dacumos narrowly taking it 21-19.

Calderon bounced back strong, dominating the next two sets 21-11 and 22-20, securing the victory for Fatima.

‎Momentum continued for the Paragons in Men’s Singles - B category as Aiden Baatan (Fatima) defeated Dave Accatan (Bintawan) in straight sets, 21-11, 21-13.
‎
‎However, Bintawan fought back strong in Women’s Singles - B category, where Azumi Valdez overpowered Hanna Barcelona (Fatima), 21-6, 21-15.
‎
‎In the Men’s Doubles, the pair of Ritzchel Balancio and Matt Maurera delivered for Fatima despite a shaky start with multiple outside shots, beating Carl Natividad and Rjay Yamballa, 21-17, 21-12.
‎
‎Bintawan’s Jossan Pacarit and Novie Vidad outlasted Fatima’s Ysha Loria and Mica Faustino, 24-22, 13-21, 21-17, for the finals doubles victory despite a second-set comeback by the Fatima duo.
‎
‎With four wins out of six games, Fatima Paragons secured their spot in the upcoming Provincial Meet 2026.

𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Fatima Paragons falls short against BNHS Villanova in Basketball: Winner advances in the Provincial Meet
‎
‎Fatima paragons (OLFSV) bows to Villanova (BNHS) as they once again sn**ch the victory twice since last S.Y. in basketball, during the Villaverde Municipal Meet held at Bintawan Sur Covered Court, September 5.
‎
‎In the beginning of the first game, Fatima Paragons dominated the first minute with Brandon Collado's 2-point shot earning the first point and taking the lead. But Villanova did not let the Paragons sn**ch the win, as they claimed the first quarter, ending it with close points, 22-20.
‎
‎However, during the start of the second quarter, electricity went out, interrupting the game; later on it was immediately restored and the game continued.
‎
‎In the continuation of the game, domination of Villanova continued from the 2nd quarter to the last, giving a large gap showcasing their athletic prowess that made it hard for the Paragons to sn**ch the win in the first game.

Ultimately, BNHS won the first game with the score of 22-20, 41-29, 53-37, and 72-54.
‎
‎During the second game, Cabuso of OLFSV and Alagano of BNHS jumbled the ball, and Collado once again delivered the first points with his 2-point shoot, giving Fatima the lead.
‎
‎However, history repeats itself as BNHS once again dominated the game after Collado's shot.

Villanova continued to show their proficiency with them sn**ching the win for the second game, with scores of 12-8, 29-15, 44-28, and 67-49.
‎
‎Llyod Raros and Kurt Bodomo of Villanova were declared as the best players who showcased their skills and determination to win, making their team win in a straight 2-0 lead, and will advance to the Provincial Meet and represent Villaverde.

‎Setyembre 5 — nagwagi ang Paragons pagkatapos ng isang mainit na labanan laban sa Bintawan National Highschool sa larong Boys' Volleyball na nag tapos sa iskors na 25-18, 25-18, 25-20 para sa unang laro at 25-19, 25-18, 25-23 naman para sa ikalawang laro.
‎
‎Pinangunahan ng dalawang magkapatid na sina Rogiemark at Rodmark Salvador kasama ang kanilang setter na si Marc Corpuz ang laro sa pamamagitan ng kanilang tumpak na depensa, opensa at pag receive sa bola, na siyang nagbigay daan para sa pagkapanalo ng kanilang team.
‎
‎Sa unang laro, makikita agad ang kahandaan ng dalawang koponan.

Malalakas na depensa at spike ang ipinakita ng mga manlalaro. Apat na sunod-sunod na service naman ang ipinakita ni Marc Corpuz, at sinabayan naman ito ng magandang strategic play mula sa magkapatid na Salvador mula sa Fatima Paragons, ngunit sa kabila nito, nakuha ng Bintawan ang unang set.
‎
‎Sa sumunod na set, nagpakitang-gilas naman ang Fatima Paragons at ipinakita ang kanilang galing sa larangan.

Siyam na puntos ang nagawa ni Alfred Sado mula sa Paragons hanggang sa matapos ang set sa iskor na 25–18.
‎
‎Sa pangatlong set, mas pinakita ng dalawang koponan ang kanilang galing ngunit mas sinigurado ng Paragons ang kanilang panalo at tinapos ang unang laro sa iskor na 25–20.
‎
‎Sa pangalawang laro, muling ipinakita ng dalawang grupo ang kanilang lakas.

Sa unang set, dala ang malalakas na depensa at spike, nakuha ng Fatima Paragons ang panalo sa iskor na 25–19.
‎
‎Ngunit sa pangalawang set, ipinakita naman ng Bintawan ang kanilang husay at determinasyon, upang maagaw ang set sa iskor na 25–18.
‎
‎Pagod at nanghihina man nang tumapak sa pangatlong set, hindi pa rin nagtinag ang dalawang koponan.

Sa kabila ng pagod at mga injury na nakuha ng magkapatid na Salvador, ipinagpatuloy pa rin ng Paragons ang kanilang laban.

‎Naging mainit ang sagupaan ng dalawang grupo, nang malapit nang matapos ang laro nangunguna ang Bintawa sa isakor na 23-17, ngunit sa di inaasahang pangyayari, nagkaroon ng errors ang Bintawan na nag silbing pag-asa para sa Paragons.

Sa huli, tinapos ni Bryle Gabriel ang laro pagkatapos ng sunod sunod na service sa iskor na 25-23.

‎Setyembre 5 — Mainit ang sagupaan ng Bintawan at Fatima Paragons sa dalawang laro noong 2026 Villaverde Municipal meet sa larong Girl's Volleyball na nag tapos sa iskor na 25-23, 25-19 para sa unang laro at 25-19, 25-20 naman para sa ikalawang laro, na ginanap sa Bintawan Norte Covered Court

‎Sa bawat serve, spike, at depensa, kapwa ipinakita ng dalawang koponan ang kanilang determinasyon na makuha ang panalo.
‎
‎Sa unang laro, agad nakakuha ng unang puntos ang Bintawan. Nagpakita ng magandang serbisyo si Sarah Baglan na umabot sa walong service. Hindi naman nagpatalo ang Fatima Paragons at agad na bumawi upang manatiling dikit ang laban. Siyam na service naman ang nagawa ni Reilen Domingo para sa Fatima Paragons.

‎Naging dikit ang unang set habang parehong nagpalitan ng puntos ang dalawang koponan. Sa huli, nakuha ng Bintawan ang unang set matapos nilang talunin ang Fatima Paragons, 25–23.

Sa ikalawang set, mas naging determinado ang Bintawan na tapusin ang laban. Sa tulong ng malalakas na spike at depensa, tinapos nila ang set sa iskor na 25–12 at nakuha ang panalo sa unang laro.
‎
‎Sa ikalawang laro, muling nagpakita ng matinding laban ang dalawang koponan.

Sa unang set, kapwa nagpakita ng malalakas na depensa at service ang Bintawan at Fatima Paragons.

Hindi nagpatinag ang magkabilang panig, ngunit sa huli ay muling nakuha ng Bintawan ang set sa iskor na 25–19 sa second set, dala ng mga manlalaro ang kanilang mga ngiti at kumpiyansa sa court, kasabay ng malalakas nilang spike at depensa.

Gayunpaman, hindi na pinakawalan ng Bintawan ang kanilang lamang at tinapos ang laban sa iskor na 25–20.

𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡 | 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵 𝘱𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘰𝘭𝘢: 𝘐𝘣𝘢'𝘵 𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘶𝘬𝘩𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘺

Sa malalakas na hiyawan, bawat tunog ng pito, at bawat paglipad ng bola, naroon siya—si Daniel Daved Mamugay.

Siyam na taong gulang pa lamang si Daniel nang magkaroon ng interes sa basketball. Dahil sa inggit sa mga batang naglalaro sa kanilang barangay, naisipan niyang sumubok. Hindi niya inakalang ang simpleng pagsubok na iyon ay magiging isang malaking bahagi ng kanyang buhay.

Hindi naging madali ang kanyang paglalakbay. Sa kabila ng pagod, pagkakatumba, at pressure sa bawat training, patuloy pa rin siyang bumabalik sa court. Bagama't aminado siyang minsan na ring naisipang tumigil, pinili niyang magpatuloy dahil sa kanyang pangarap at sa matibay na suporta ng kanyang mga magulang.

Bukod sa pagiging atleta, multi-faceted din si Daniel.

Isa siyang aspiring honor student, SSLG officer, at Presidente ng Sports Club sa Our Lady of Fatima School of Villaverde (OLFSV). Aktibo rin siyang miyembro ng iba't ibang organisasyon sa paaralan.

Hindi rin patuhog ang kanyang talento dahil isa siyang journalist na sumabak sa Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) sa Aritao noong ikatlo ng Setyembre bilang Sports Caster ng Radio Broadcasting team ng Trailblazer, ang opisyal na pahayagan ng OLFSV.

Makalipas lamang ang isang araw matapos ang DSPC, agad siyang sumabak sa District Meet ng Villaverde kung saan isa siya sa mga bumuo ng basketball team ng Fatima Paragons.

Dahil sa dami ng pinagsasabay-sabay na tungkulin, hindi maiiwasan ang pagod at puyat. Subalit natutuhan niyang gamitin ang tamang time management upang mabalanse ang lahat.

Para kay Daniel, higit pa sa isang palakasan ang basketball.

“Naging bahagi na ito ng pagkatao ko dahil naging coping mechanism ko na rin ito. Tuwing naglalaro ako ng basketball, mas nakakapag-isip ako at nagiging panatag ang isip ko,” aniya.

Sa paglipas ng panahon, mas naging responsable siya sa pagbalanse ng oras nang hindi pinababayaan ang pag-aaral.

Nitong naganap ngang Fatima Paragons (Intramurals) 2026 kung saan lumaban siya sa larong basketball at volleyball ay matagumpay na naiuwi ng kanilang koponan (Polaris) ang kampeonato.

Hindi lamang panalo ang kanyang maipagmamalaki dahil nakatanggap din siya ng mga parangal kagaya ng Best Receiver at isa sa mga Mythical Six sa Volleyball, at Best Point Guard, isa sa mga Mythical Five, at Tournament MVP sa Basketball.

Nag-iwan din siya ng marka sa court sa pamamagitan ng kanyang husay at mga krusyal na three-point shots sa mainit nilang laban kontra Solstice.

Para sa mga kabataang kagaya ng siyam na taong gulang na Daniel noong nagsisimula pa lamang, simple ngunit makabuluhan ang kanyang payo:

"Ituloy n’yo lang ang inyong pinapangarap at huwag kalimutan ang pag-aaral. Dapat balanse pa rin, mag-ensayo, makinig sa magulang, at huwag pabayaan ang pag-aaral."

Sa bawat laro, hindi lamang puntos ang hinahabol ni Daniel.

Kasama rito ang pangarap, dedikasyon, at patuloy na pagsusumikap—dahil para sa kanya, ang tunay na laban ay hindi natatapos sa huling pito ng laro.
