- continuous participation on events, seminars, trainings and refresher course conducted by PTA
- has been into Taekwondo since he was in highschool

𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 | 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐀𝐕𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝐉𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐍 “𝐀𝐉” 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎

Meet Avril Jillian “AJ” Castro, who joined ACTS and earned her Yellow Belt in just two months. Shortly after, she stepped onto the national stage for her very first tournament—the 2026 SMART/MVPSF National Interschool Taekwondo Championships.

Competing against 16 athletes from different parts of the Philippines, AJ fought through three tough matches and proudly brought home the Bronze Medal!

Her achievement is a reflection of her incredible dedication. Right after school, she trains. Even on weekends, when the family could be resting, AJ chooses to be on the mat, continuously developing her skills.

But what makes AJ even more special is her maturity, toughness, and willingness to support her teammates. She competes with courage, handles every challenge with grace, and never forgets to encourage those around her.

Two months of training. Yellow Belt. National Bronze Medalist.

AJ, your journey is just beginning—and we can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!

Rain or shine, Sunday travels all the way from Manila for her weekend training sessions at ACTS MarQuee Mall. Her dedication and courage on and off the mat truly inspire us!
