Saint Mary’s University’s Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (SMU-TTBDO) was recognized as the 2024 Top Performer Award – Fabrication Category at the 3rd Regional MSME Summit 2025 cm One DTI Services Caravan. The event took place on July 8, 2025, at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. SMU’s Fab Lab distinguished itself by achieving the highest score among all regional winners.

Saint Mary's University (SMU) recently concluded a two-day joint training workshop, held on June 10-11, 2025, in partnership with the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education (OIDHE). The program brought together SMU faculty members, deans, and department heads, all focused on strengthening their academic offerings by enhancing their skills in outcomes-based curriculum review and designing student-centered course syllabi.

Saint Mary’s University (SMU) achieved a significant milestone, having been recommended for a Stage 2 audit under ISO 21001:2018, the international standard for educational organizations’ management systems. This recommendation follows a rigorous Stage 1 audit on May 20, 2025.

Saint Mary’s University is now an official Associate Member of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)

On January 28, 2025, SMU achieved a significant milestone with its formal acceptance into the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) as an associate member. This move aligns with the university’s continued commitment to enhancing its academic offerings and a culture of continuous improvement.

UPLB OIDHE met with the officials and representatives from Saint Mary’s University (SMU) to discuss possible areas for collaboration with UPLB. SMU President, Dr. John Octavious S. Palina, attended the meeting and fully supported the planned engagements.
