FEBRUARY IS PHILIPPINE HEART MONTH

Ayon sa Field Health Service Information System (FHSIS) ng Department of Health, 36% o 1 sa 3 Pilipino ang may sakit sa puso noong 2024. Sa nakalipas na limang taon, ito pa rin ang nangungunang sanhi ng pagkamatay ng mga Pilipino.

Kadalasan, sanhi ito ng Coronary Artery Disease, na nangyayari kapag nagbabara ang mga ugat ng puso dahil sa naipong kolesterol o taba.

Karamihan sa mga risk factor ng Coronary Artery Disease ay modifiable o maaaring baguhin, kaya nararapat itong aksyunan bago pa mauwi sa heart attack o atake sa puso.

Today, January 19, 2026, “Oplan Kapkap” was conducted to inspect the bags and belongings of senior high school learners. The activity aimed to confiscate prohibited items such as vapes, ci******es, alcoholic beverages, and deadly weapons. This initiative was carried out to ensure the safety of learners and to maintain a safe, orderly, and drug-free school environment.
