๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ || The Logistics School successfully conducted its Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship Training Sustainment (RPMTS) from 24-28 August 2026, led by professional instructors from the Marksmanship Training Center. The intensive five-day training brought together participants from multiple schools, including faculty and staff from the Soldier Support School, Health Service School, Fires School, and Engineer School. The comprehensive program featured a series of lectures designed to refresh participants on fundamental marksmanship principles, followed by live-fire exercises covering both rifle and pistol qualifications. Despite challenging rainy weather throughout the week, the Logistics School community demonstrated unwavering commitment and enthusiasm, completing the full training regimen with determination.
The training underscores that even as logisticians specialize in supply chain operations and sustainment, the faculty and staff of the Logistics School never miss out on the basic function of soldiery - marksmanship. This commitment reflects their understanding that regardless of military occupational specialty, every soldier must maintain proficiency in fundamental warrior skills.
Annual marksmanship training is crucial for logistics personnel who often operate in vulnerable supply routes and forward support areas. Beyond force protection, marksmanship qualification is essential for career progression, deployment readiness, and operational credibility. The successful completion of this training reaffirms the Logistics School's commitment to maintaining combat-ready soldiers who uphold the warrior ethos while executing their logistics mission.
