Vega NHS Student Wins 3rd Place in Regional Mathematics Fair 2026 Rubik’s Cube Competition
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — March 7, 2026 — A learner from Vega National High School brought pride to the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Nueva Ecija after securing 3rd Place in the Regional Rubik’s Cube Competition held at Pampanga High School.
Denmark Reizle M. Rimando showcased remarkable speed, precision, and analytical thinking as he competed with top participants from different schools across Region III. His strong performance demonstrated both his mastery of the Rubik’s Cube and his dedication to sharpening his problem-solving abilities.
Rimando was coached by Reinalyn P. Teneza, whose guidance and preparation helped the student perform well in the regional competition. The school also recognized the support of Math Coordinator Luzviminda Pascual, who continues to encourage learners to develop their mathematical and analytical skills through academic competitions.
The achievement was warmly commended by School Principal II Dr. Joselito S. Malamanig, PhD, who emphasized that such accomplishments reflect the school’s commitment to developing learners’ talents and bringing honor to the division.
The regional event gathered outstanding students from various schools across Central Luzon and was hosted by Pampanga High School, one of the oldest and prominent public secondary schools in the province located in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Rimando’s success serves as an inspiration to fellow students of Vega National High School and highlights the continued pursuit of academic and co-curricular excellence within the Schools Division of Nueva Ecija.
