ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN YEARS has passed since the Philippines, a nation rich in culture and history, was finally able to experience freedom from the tyranny of the Spanish regime. The diverse experiences we had gained from our three-century fight with the oppressors have molded us in becoming a great nation full of hopes and aspirations.

GK Typhoon is now ACTIVATED.

We are in close coordination with all provinces that are being affected by Typhoon Lando, but GK will focus our initial relief operations in the province of Nueva Ecija. They are now experiencing massive flooding, mostly affecting rice farmers who will urgently need food packs. Thankfully, most if not all our GK communities in the province were spared. These GK communities will be our platform and our partners in distributing relief packs for the flood victims.

For the initial relief operations, we intend to distribute 5,000 food packs (PHP 200 per pack) and we would like to seek your help. At this point, it is more practical to receive donations in cash than in kind. You may donate online or through bank deposit.

Team GK will set up an operations center in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija. Our next advisory will be on October 20 – please visit www.gk1world.com/typhoonlando.

May the Lord bless all our efforts and keep our volunteers safe as we demonstrate our solidarity to the typhoon victims.

Calling for Volunteers to the "All Metro Manila Youth Leaders of DRRM Enlistment and Action Planning"
NYC invites youth volunteers to attend our “All Metro Manila Youth Leaders for DRR Enlistment and Actual Participation to the July 30 Metro-wide Earthquake Drill” to be held on July 10, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; (Announcement on venue to follow).
This activity is in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), as lead agencies for the scheduled Metro-Wide Earthquake drill. Hence, the volunteers that we will be able to gather, and the plans that we will come up on July 10, will be merged to, and in support of, the overall plan of government.
