DUMAGUETE CITYโ€”The Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial-Dumaguete Science High School's DuScian Debate Varsity Club has distinguished itself with stellar achievements at a prominent three-day debate workshop and tournament hosted by Silliman University.

Following PR3P, an intensive workshop on the British Parliamentary debate format on July 6th, the students demonstrated their exceptional debating prowess during the "Negrense Debate Cup" invitational tournament on July 7th and 8th.

Lester Aguilar and Estelle Paray emerged as the champions in the high school category, with Aguilar also being honored as the Best Speaker in the finals and securing the 6th Best Speaker overall. The other pair from RTPM-DSHS, Francis Rhoed Tose and Nathaniel Alcoran, also excelled, with Tose earning the 4th Best Speaker overall and Alcoran taking the 7th Best Speaker overall.

These notable achievements underscore the students' outstanding oratorical skills and highlight the school's dedication to nurturing intellectual excellence. The Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial-Dumaguete Science High School community takes immense pride in their students, who have brought significant honor and recognition to their institution through their remarkable performances in this esteemed debate competition.
