Today, August 23, 2026, at the Taal Building, 3rd Floor, LTC Lecture Rooms 4–5, participants are gathered and ready for a meaningful day of learning, collaboration, and creative expression as they prepare for the first activity: News, Feature, and Editorial Writing.

As the participants settle in and the program begins, a new journey toward purposeful storytelling unfolds. In the field of Communication Arts, effective communication goes beyond simply putting words on paper—it is about informing, engaging, and giving voice to stories that deserve to be heard. Through today’s session, may participants be inspired to write with clarity, creativity, accuracy, and responsibility, while recognizing the power of communication in shaping perspectives and telling stories that matter. 💙💛

Today, the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 stands with the nation in commemorating the 43rd death anniversary of 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆” 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿. His courage, conviction, and unwavering pursuit of freedom and democracy remain an enduring part of Philippine history. His life and sacrifice stood as a testament to the importance of truth, justice, freedom, and love of country, while his assassination on August 21, 1983, became a defining moment that strengthened the Filipino people’s call for democratic change.

Ninoy Aquino’s legacy reminds us that a voice can inspire courage, awaken awareness, and become a force for meaningful change. May we, as 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘀, continue to use our voices and platforms responsibly—to seek truth, amplify what matters, stand for justice, and communicate with purpose. And may his courage inspire us to speak when it matters and remind us that our voices, when used with integrity and compassion, can contribute meaningfully. 💙💛

The Communication Arts Society (CARS) is now officially opening its Committee Member Application, and this is your opportunity to develop your skills, gain meaningful experiences, and make an impact while living out our commitment to connect minds, create stories, and communicate truths.

Pursuant to the Communication Arts Society Constitution and By-Laws, Article IV (Organizational Structure), Section 2, it states that: ”𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 (𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘺) 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯’𝘴 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴.”

In line with this provision, the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 (𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐒) establishes 𝘀𝗶𝘅 (𝟲) 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀 as official committees under the Executives' supervision, namely:
