Forty-nine faculty members and formators from the Basic Education and Higher Education units of Ateneo de Naga University attended the Loyola School of Theologyโs International Conference on Ignatian Spirituality 2026 held at the Ateneo de Manila University from April 22 to 24, 2026.
The conference gathered scholars, formators, pastoral workers, lay collaborators, educators, and mission partners to engage in pressing and interconnected concerns such as mental health, communal discernment, and artificial intelligence within the context of Ignatian spirituality, fostering reflection on how these realities shape formation, education, and mission today.
ADNU delegates also took part in breakout workshop sessions aimed at deepening competencies across various areas of ministry and formation, strengthening their capacity to respond more thoughtfully and effectively to the evolving needs of their respective fields.

Last March 13 to 15 and March 14 to 16 (scheduled for the majority), the Formators and their first batch of students journeyed to five barangays across three mission stations of the Diocese of Libmanan for
For three days and two nights, students lived closely with the community and shared in their daily rhythms in a spirit of presence, accompaniment, and discernment. More than an activity, it became an invitation to listen deeply, to walk humbly, and to recognize God at work in the lives of our people.
In shared meals, stories, and simple moments, learning became real and personal. The experience reminded us that formation is not only about knowing but also about loving, serving, and standing in solidarity.
Makihimanwa calls us to respond by offering who we are and what we have for others. It invites us to continue walking with our people, learning from them, and choosing to make a difference where it is most needed.

For this part of our MEMORIES IN MOTION series, we are featuring eight (8) more entries from our students across different blocks. These short films show us that the EDSA Spirit is much more than just a story from the past or a date on the calendar. For every Filipino, the lessons of 1986 serve as a constant reminder that our greatest strength is found when we look out for one another and stand together.

For the youth today, this legacy is now in their hands. They are proving that being "makabayan" is still very much alive in how they seek the truth and how they care for their community. These student works act as a bridge between the heroes of the past and the leaders of the future. As you look through these pieces, we hope they inspire you to keep that flame of hope and courage burning in everything you do.
Keep an eye out for more student work as we continue to share more entries soon.

Last weekโs film screening celebrated the intersection of history and modern student artistry. Held on February 24, 2026, at 03:00 PM in the ADNU Gymnasium, the event served as a powerful tribute to our shared legacy of democracy.
Through the creative lens of our students, we revisited the essence of "People Power" and its enduring relevance today. We are proud to honor our top three winners:
