NABUA, CAMARINES SUR — Sa himig ng musikang nagdiriwang sa wikang Filipino at sa makukulay na Filipiniana attire ng mga g**o, opisyal na sinimulan ng Nabua Central Pilot School (NCPS) ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 nitong Lunes, Agosto 10, sa ganap na alas-7 ng umaga bilang bahagi ng morning rituals ng paaralan.

Naging tampok sa pagsisimula ng selebrasyon ang tema ngayong taon na “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” na opisyal na inilabas ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF).

Binigyang-diin sa selebrasyon ang patuloy na halaga ng wikang Filipino sa gitna ng mabilis na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya, partikular na ang paggamit ng artificial intelligence (AI) bilang kasangkapan sa pananaliksik, pagkatuto, at pag-access sa malawak na impormasyon.

Bilang pagpapakita ng pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino, nagtipon ang mga g**o ng NCPS na suot ang kani-kanilang Filipiniana attire, na nagbigay ng makulay at makabayang himig sa unang araw ng pagdiriwang.

Higit sa pagiging kasuotan, nagsilbi itong simbolo ng pagkilala sa sariling kultura at pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino.

ꜰɪʟɪᴘɪɴᴏ ᴀᴛ ᴀɪ, ᴛᴀᴍᴘᴏᴋ ꜱᴀ ᴍᴇɴꜱᴀʜᴇ

Sa kanyang mensahe, tinalakay ni Filipino Coordinator Ms. Marijoe N. Sabareza ang kahalagahan ng tema ng Buwan ng Wika ngayong taon.

Binigyang-tuon niya ang ugnayan ng wikang Filipino at makabagong teknolohiya, partikular ang AI, bilang mga kasangkapan na maaaring gamitin sa paghahanap, pagproseso, at pagpapalawak ng kaalaman.

Sa panahon kung kailan mabilis na nagbabago ang paraan ng pagkuha ng impormasyon, ipinakita ng kanyang mensahe na nananatiling mahalaga ang wika bilang daluyan ng pag-unawa at pagbabahagi ng kaalaman.

ʀɪɴᴄᴏɴᴀᴅᴀ, ʙɪɴɪɢʏᴀɴɢ-ʜᴀʟᴀɢᴀ

Samantala, binigyang-diin ni School Principal III Dr. Fernando B. Pili ang kahalagahan ng paggamit at pagpapanatili ng mga wika sa sariling pamayanan.

Partikular niyang itinampok ang Rinconada dialect, isang mahalagang bahagi ng lokal na kultura at pagkakakilanlan ng mga mamamayan ng Rinconada.

Sa kanyang mensahe, ipinaalala na ang pagpapahalaga sa Filipino ay hindi nangangahulugang paglimot sa mga katutubong wika. Sa halip, ang mga lokal na wika gaya ng Rinconada ay bahagi ng mas malawak na yamang pangwika na nararapat pangalagaan at gamitin.

ᴍᴜꜱɪᴋᴀ, ɴᴀɢʜᴀᴛɪᴅ ɴɢ ᴅɪᴡᴀ ɴɢ ᴘᴀɢᴅɪʀɪᴡᴀɴɢ

Lalong naging makulay ang pagsisimula ng programa sa pamamagitan ng pagtugtog ng opisyal na soundtrack ng Buwan ng Wika at pagdiriwang ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino.

Naging musikal na hudyat ito ng pagsisimula ng serye ng mga gawaing pangwika at pangkultura ng NCPS ngayong buwan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga aktibidad na ito, layunin ng paaralan na higit pang mailapit sa mga mag-aaral at g**o ang kahalagahan ng wika bilang bahagi ng kanilang pagkakakilanlan, kultura, at pagkatuto.

Sa pagpasok ng teknolohiya at artificial intelligence sa mundo ng edukasyon, ipinakita ng NCPS na maaaring magsabay ang makabagong teknolohiya at pagpapahalaga sa sariling wika—kung gagamitin ang mga ito nang responsable at may pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino.

Sa NCPS, ang Buwan ng Wika ay hindi lamang pagdiriwang ng isang buwan. Ito ay isang paalala na sa bawat salitang Filipino at Rinconada na ginagamit, pinananatili at ipinapasa sa susunod na salinlahi ang isang mahalagang bahagi ng pagkakakilanlan ng isang pamayanan.

𝙉𝘼𝘽𝙐𝘼, 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙧 — The General Alumni Organization of Nabua East Central School (Pilot) has started working on its plan for a fencing project for the school’s food production garden, reinforcing its commitment to support learner-centered and sustainable school programs.

During their visit to the school principal, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗕. 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶, NCPS General Alumni Association president 𝐏𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨 𝐇. 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐫. and the orgaization’s treasurer, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗥. 𝗢ñ𝗮𝘁𝗲 have coordinated for the project’s requirements and preparing the necessary materials and resources for its implementation.

The project seeks to protect the garden’s vegetables and crops from possible damage while providing pupils with a safer and more organized place for hands-on agricultural and environmental learning. Once completed, the fence will not merely define the boundaries of the garden. It will stand as a lasting symbol of cooperation among the school, its alumni, parents, teachers, learners, and community partners.

School officials expressed their appreciation to the General Alumni Organization for turning alumni solidarity into meaningful action. School officials welcomed the initiative, describing it as a concrete expression of the alumni community’s generosity, unity, and lasting concern for its alma mater. The initiative reflects the continuing commitment of the school’s former learners to give back to their alma mater and support projects that directly benefit today’s pupils.

NABUA, Camarines Sur — Nabua Central Pilot School (NCPS) has been named one of the recipients of the WinS (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools) Advocate recognition during the Department of Education (DepEd) Camarines Sur's awarding ceremony for outstanding schools and program implementers for School Year 2024–2025.

The recognition forms part of Division Memorandum No. 459, s. 2026, issued on July 14, 2026, announcing the Awarding of Project Sustaining, Strengthening, and Supporting Three Star Schools through Awards and Recognition (3STAR) SY 2024–2025 and Recognition of Outstanding Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd–Healthy Learning Institutions (OKD-HLI) Program Implementers SY 2024–2025.

The awarding ceremony was scheduled on July 22 and 23, 2026, at Robinsons Place, Naga City, bringing together school leaders, district supervisors, WinS coordinators, and education officials from across the province.

According to the memorandum, the program aims to recognize schools and personnel that have demonstrated exemplary performance in implementing Project 3STAR and the Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd–Healthy Learning Institutions (OKD-HLI) Program, while promoting excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in school governance, health promotion, and learner well-being.

Among the awards to be conferred are the Sustainability Award, Seal of Excellence Award, Outstanding WinS Advocate, OKD-HLI Outstanding Program Implementer, Three Star School Award, and WinS Advocate Finalist.

NCPS' recognition as a WinS awardee underscores the school's sustained commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and learner-friendly environment through effective implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives.

The ceremony will be conducted by congressional district, with participants from the First, Second, and Third Congressional Districts attending on July 22, while representatives from the Fourth and Fifth Congressional Districts will participate on July 23.

The Schools Division Office of Camarines Sur said the recognition celebrates schools that have made significant contributions to creating healthier learning environments and advancing DepEd's school health programs.

For NCPS, the distinction adds another milestone to its continuing efforts to uphold quality education while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of every learner through strong implementation of the WinS Program and other school health initiatives.

NABUA, Camarines Sur — The Acting Chief of Police of the Nabua Municipal Police Station urged learners of Nabua Central Pilot School (NCPS) to reject bullying, value education, and observe school safety during the school's flag-raising ceremony on Monday morning.

𝙋𝙇𝙏𝘾𝙊𝙇 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙘𝙤 𝙈. 𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙅𝙧., Acting Chief of Police, together with personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP), spearheaded the 7 a.m. flag-raising ceremony held at the NCPS Open Grounds on July 20, 2026.

Addressing hundreds of learners, teachers, and school personnel, Pacer led an information campaign focusing on the importance of maintaining a bullying-free learning environment and developing positive values through hard work and dedication to one's studies.

He reminded learners to stay away from violence and intimidation and encouraged them to respect their classmates and teachers while striving for academic excellence.

The police official likewise cautioned learners against bringing sharp materials and other potentially dangerous objects inside the school premises, emphasizing that such items pose risks to the safety and well-being of everyone on campus.

School Principal III 𝘿𝙧. 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤 𝘽. 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞 echoed the police official's message, underscoring the importance of discipline, responsibility, and good character in helping learners succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Throughout the activity, learners listened attentively to the messages delivered by PLTCOL Pacer and Dr. Pili, demonstrating active participation in the school's weekly assembly.

The activity forms part of the continuing collaboration between the Nabua Municipal Police Station and Nabua Central Pilot School to strengthen values formation, promote campus safety, and foster a secure and supportive learning environment for all learners.

NCPS Kicks Off July with Health, Learning, and Nation-Building Activities

NABUA, Camarines Sur — July opens with a full calendar of academic milestones and national observances at Nabua Central Pilot School (NCPS), reflecting the Department of Education’s continuing commitment to learner development, health, inclusivity, and civic responsibility.

Anchored on the school’s July 2026 academic calendar, learners, teachers, and parents will participate in a series of educational programs, assessments, and nationwide celebrations designed to strengthen both academic achievement and character formation.

The month-long observance of National Disaster Resilience Month highlights the importance of disaster preparedness and community readiness. Through classroom discussions, drills, and awareness activities, learners are expected to develop practical knowledge and life-saving skills that can help build safer and more resilient communities.

Running alongside it is Nutrition Month, one of the country’s longest-standing health campaigns. Schools are expected to promote healthy eating habits, proper nutrition, and wellness through classroom integration, school-based activities, and information drives aimed at encouraging learners to adopt healthier lifestyles.

During the third week of July, NCPS will join the nation in observing the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, emphasizing respect, inclusion, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. School activities are expected to foster empathy while reinforcing the importance of creating inclusive learning environments where every learner can thrive.

The last week of July will culminate in the celebration of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, providing learners opportunities to appreciate Filipino musical heritage through performances, classroom activities, and cultural presentations that showcase the country’s rich artistic traditions.

Beyond the national celebrations, July also marks several significant academic events under the Department of Education calendar.

The month begins with the End of the Mandatory Learners’ Health Assessment on July 3, ensuring that learners’ health profiles are updated to support safe and effective classroom learning.

Academic assessment activities formally commence on July 6 with the administration of the Term 1 First Teacher-Made Summative Test, providing teachers with the first major measure of learners’ mastery of essential competencies.

By July 10, schools are expected to complete the Testing Window for BOSY (Beginning of School Year) Assessments, including the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA), Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA), Phil-IRI, and other diagnostic tools used to determine learners’ current academic levels and identify those needing intervention.

From July 13 to 17, selected learners will participate in the Mathematics Festival Assessment Test (MFAT), one of the key activities aimed at identifying mathematically gifted pupils who may represent the school in higher-level competitions.

Student leadership also takes center stage from July 20 to 24, when schools conduct the National Federation Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Elections. The annual exercise provides learners with firsthand experience in democratic processes while nurturing responsible and servant-minded leaders.

The month’s academic calendar concludes on July 28 with the administration of the Term 1 Second Teacher-Made Summative Test, allowing teachers to further monitor learners’ progress before the close of the first assessment cycle.

School officials said the packed July schedule reflects the balanced approach of the MATATAG Curriculum, which integrates academic excellence with learner health, leadership development, disaster preparedness, inclusivity, and cultural appreciation.

With classrooms now fully operational and school activities in full swing, NCPS is expected to continue implementing programs that prepare learners not only for academic success but also for responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.

NABUA, Camarines Sur — Nabua Central Pilot School (NCPS) formally kicked off Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a well-attended program that gathered education leaders, local government officials, community stakeholders, partner agencies, financial institutions, parents, and learners in a unified effort to prepare the school for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Teacher III Jonna N. Patricio, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem under the leadership of Teacher III Thelma A. Follosco. Participants were then welcomed by School Principal III Fernando B. Pili, Ed.D. represented by the School SGOD, Mrs. Roselyn O. Ibo, MT-II, who emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring a safe, clean, and learner-friendly school environment.

Delivering the inspirational message, Public Schools District Supervisor Roberto B. Briones, Ed.D. highlighted the significance of Brigada Eskwela as a symbol of unity and volunteerism among stakeholders in the education sector. He encouraged the community to continue supporting school programs that directly contribute to learners’ welfare and academic success.

A major highlight of the activity was the Statement of Support, where various stakeholders expressed their commitment to the school's initiatives. Representing the Local Government Unit of Nabua was Municipal Councilor Ma. Eleanor Occiano-Luzon. Support was also manifested by Ms. Zaique M. Ocharan, RN of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Financial institutions likewise pledged their assistance, including Camalig Bank, Inc., EastWest Bank, First Consolidated Bank, China Bank Savings, and Producers Bank. Other community partners who conveyed their support were the representative of LTC Arnel D. Fabriaga of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Barangay leaders from various communities also pledged their cooperation, including Barangay Captains Imelda V. Bolivar (San Roque), and Jay A. Desquitado (San Isidro Poblacion). Other poblacion barangays were represented by their Brgy Councilors and staff.

Representatives from other organizations also signified their support, including representatives of Fire Inspector Jonathan M. Jaurigue of the Bureau of Fire Protection, and PolCol Rodrigo Benedicto H. Sarmiento Jr., President of the Nabua Central Pilot School Alumni Association (NCPSAA).

Adding a youthful voice to the gathering, Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) President Jyana Vissia Martha N. Patricio delivered a message on behalf of the learners, through a musical rendition of Paraiso, encouraging fellow students to actively participate in school improvement efforts.

Following an intermission number, participants took part in the Signing of the Brigada Eskwela Wall of Commitment, symbolizing their shared dedication to support NCPS throughout the school year.

An orientation on key school programs followed, with Teacher II Melvin C. Federis discussing enrollment procedures and Teacher II Maria Aurora R. Julianes, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, presenting the objectives, activities, and stakeholder participation guidelines for Brigada Eskwela 2026.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates led Teacher Maria Aurora R. Julianes, School BE Coordinator, recognizing the invaluable contributions of partner stakeholders. In her closing remarks, Julianes expressed gratitude to all volunteers and partners for their continued commitment to quality education and community engagement.

Serving as Master of Ceremony was Teacher II Melvin C. Federis, who facilitated the successful conduct of the program.

Brigada Eskwela remains one of the Department of Education's flagship initiatives, promoting volunteerism, partnership, and shared responsibility among stakeholders in creating a conducive learning environment for Filipino learners. Through the collective efforts demonstrated during the kick-off program, NCPS reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality, inclusive, and accessible education for all.

In line with the recently issued administrative memorandum on adjusted NSTP activities of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, participants of the CSPC Adopt-a-School Program, particularly the Nabua Central Pilot School learners officially enrolled in the Sunday Summer Class, are hereby informed that program activities are deferred to a later time on specified conditions set by the CSPC-NSTP.

This development follows the implementation of a temporary Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement and the adjustment of off-campus NSTP activities of the said higher education institution, in response to the ongoing energy crisis and high heat index. Despite these temporary changes, CSPC NSTP assures NCPS, volunteers, and learners that the Sunday Summer Class remains an important part of its commitment to community-based education and learner development.

To ensure the continuity of learning, NSTP student volunteers and faculty coordinators are encouraged to shift to alternative learning modalities, such as online engagement, modular activities, guided take-home tasks, and limited face-to-face sessions whenever conditions permit. These adjustments are intended to protect the health and safety of all participants while sustaining the objectives of the Adopt-a-School initiative.

For activities that may still require in-person interaction, strict observance of safety protocols shall be followed. Participation of learners will remain voluntary, with proper coordination with parents, guardians, and partner schools. Signed consent and clear scheduling procedures will also be secured to ensure the welfare of all involved. Hence, NCPS community is advised to keep posted for further developments.

NCPS extends its sincere appreciation to CSPC Adopt-a-School Program partner institution, volunteer student-teachers, and the learners of the Sunday Summer Class for their continued cooperation and dedication. NCPS remains hopeful that regular community immersion and full face-to-face learning support activities will resume once conditions become more favorable.

Through resilience, collaboration, and shared commitment, the CSPC Adopt-a-School Program continues to serve as a bridge of learning, compassion, and service for young learners this summer season.
