Grappling Industries was such a good reminder of why we do this.

Watching our kids step onto the mat, fight through the nerves, give it their all, and keep going no matter what happened is something I’ll never get tired of. Jiujitsu teaches them so much more than how to grapple. It teaches them to be uncomfortable, trust themselves, handle wins and losses, and most importantly - to be brave even when they’re scared.

Everything is a win if the goal is experience ❣️ and if that means winning a gold medal in their first ever competition, then HELL YEAH !!

Our training camp for Grappling Industries was brutal, but we’re so happy the girls pushed themselves and went for it. If you told these two a year ago that they’d be competing in a huge jiujitsu tournament, they probably wouldn’t believe you.

For a team that’s still new and constantly growing, we’re so proud of our young athletes for pushing themselves to compete, and so grateful to all the families who showed up and supported them!

These kids put in the work day in and day out, and somehow still have enough energy to play games right after training.

One of our favorite things about watching this team grow is seeing the kids go from being shy and quiet to becoming such good friends. It’s so nice seeing them have fun together, support each other, and grow through jiujitsu.

It really makes us proud of what we’re building at Neighborhood Jiu Jitsu.

It’s been such a season of growth for our team, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come. So proud of everyone who stepped on the mats, especially our first-time competitors!

Saturday was a big one for Neighborhood Jiu Jitsu at Grappling Industries!

We had 6 kids competing in the gi and nogi divisions, which is the most kids we’ve registered since they started competing last November. It’s been so cool watching some of them grow through their competitions, while seeing four of our kids step onto the competition mats for the very first time.

And it feels like our crowd gets bigger every competition! This time, we had so many parents there cheering the kids on, and it really made the day feel extra special.

So proud of our kids, so grateful for the parents and everyone who continues to show up and support our team, and so excited to get everyone back on the mats!
