ADVISORY | Enhanced Campus Safety and Security Protocols

In compliance with the directive issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) dated August 18, 2026, mandating all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to enforce heightened safety and security standards, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) will implement enhanced campus entry protocols effective immediately.

1. "No ID, No Entry" Policy

• A strict "No ID, No Entry" policy will be enforced at all access points—including the Main Gate, 2nd Gate, 3rd Gate, Bagong Sikat Gate, and all entrances. All students, faculty, administrative staff, and contractual personnel must wear their official CLSU Identification Card visibly at all times while inside the university premises.

• First-year students who have not yet received their official CLSU ID must present a valid government-issued ID, or their official Form 6 upon entry.

• All visitors must present a valid government-issued ID at designated entry gates to gain access inside the University.
• Visible security guards will also be deployed at the College of Agriculture and the College of Fisheries.

2. Vehicle Inspection Protocols & Safety Rules

• All incoming vehicles—including private cars, delivery trucks, motorcycles, tricycles, and public utility vehicles—are subject to security inspection at all entry gates.

• For safety and identification purposes, motor riders must remove their helmets before entering and while driving within university premises.

• Visitors entering in vehicles must present a valid government-issued ID to the duty guard at the entrance to secure an official Gate Pass.

• Students, employees, and campus residents who use vehicles, including electric vehicles, are encouraged to secure a gate pass from UBAP to facilitate smoother and more convenient entry and exit at the campus gates.

3. Operating Schedule for Campus Gates

• Main Gate | Open 24 Hours
• 2nd, 3rd, DHTM and Bagong Sikat Gate | Open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

4. To complement campus security, local law enforcement may occasionally carry out brief safety checks across university grounds.

All members of the CLSU community are urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious individuals, unauthorized presence, or unusual activity to the security force. You may contact the University Security and Safety Unit at 0915-259-0573.

ADVISORY | Shift to Alternative Learning Arrangements

As per Memorandum No 2026-08-25 (25) released by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA), alternative learning arrangements shall be in place next week in consideration of the upcoming examinations and the need to provide students sufficient time to review and prepare, as well as the declared holidays (August 31 & September 2), resulting in a compressed class schedule.

As such, please take note of the following dates and arrangements:

August 31, 2026 (Monday) – National Heroes Day | Regular holiday. No classes shall be conducted.

September 1&3, 2026 (Tuesday & Thursday)
Classes shall shift to synchronous online learning using the appropriate online learning platforms.

September 2, 2026 (Wednesday) – Nueva Ecija Day | Local holiday in the Province of Nueva Ecija. No classes shall be conducted.

September 4, 2026 (Friday)
The University’s Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement shall remain in effect, while classes shall be conducted through the asynchronous mode.

August 29 & September 5, 2026 (Saturday)
All CWTS and ROTC learning activities during shall be conducted through asynchronous mode.

Faculty members are requested to inform their students in advance of the necessary learning activities, requirements, and arrangements to ensure the continuity of instruction. Students are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members and regularly check their official communication channels for announcements and further instructions.

ADVISORY | Shift to Asynchronous Classes on August 11

As the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect our students and community, classes remain under an asynchronous setup on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, as per the directive of University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella.

Meanwhile, offices shall remain open and fully operational to continue serving the community, unless otherwise announced. Any subsequent updates or changes will be communicated through an official advisory from the PLGU/LGU Disaster Risk Reduction Council.

Everyone is expected to remain alert for water accumulation and possible changes in rainfall conditions.

ADVISORY | WFH Set-up for all Employees

In view of the inclement weather conditions brought about by Tropical Depression Luis and the intermittent to poor internet connectivity being experienced in several offices, all employees are advised to adopt a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement effective immediately today, August 3, as per the directive of the University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella.

Employees are expected to remain reachable through official communication channels, attend virtual meetings when possible, and continue performing their assigned duties to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential university services.

Further updates and instructions will be issued through the University’s official page.

ADVISORY | Class Suspension and Cancellation of Flag Raising Ceremony on August 3, 2026

Pursuant to the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of the Science City of Muñoz, classes at all levels in both public and private schools in the city are suspended today, August 3, due to the effects being experienced from Tropical Storm Luis.

Work operations shall continue as scheduled; nevertheless, the University Flag Raising Ceremony is likewise cancelled, as announced by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella.

Everyone is advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions during this rainy season, and to stay updated through the official announcements of the city government and CLSU.
