Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), conducted the Capacity Development Workshop for the Technical Working Group (TWG), College and Department QA Coordinators, Department Chairs, and Program Coordinators for Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Program Accreditation on June 4, 2026, at Undan Hall, Philippine-Sino Center for Agricultural Technology (PhilSCAT).

The workshop gathered university personnel involved in quality assurance and accreditation to enhance institutional readiness for upcoming AACCUP accreditation activities. The activity focused on the identification, consolidation, organization, and management of university, college, and program-level evidence required under the AACCUP Master Survey Instrument for Levels I and II accreditation.

The program opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and a prayer, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Rhodora I. Dela Rosa, Director of the Quality Assurance Office. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in sustaining the University's commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Mr. Junior M. Pacol, Chief of the Program Quality Assurance Division, presented the workshop rationale and objectives. He highlighted the initiative's goal of establishing a centralized, accessible repository of accreditation evidence to support current and future accreditation activities and to improve efficiency across colleges and departments.

Dr. Lorenz J. Fajardo, Chief of the Institutional Quality Assurance Division, facilitated the workshop proper. Participants reviewed accreditation requirements, identified documentary evidence, and discussed strategies for organizing and maintaining evidence repositories aligned with AACCUP standards.

During the afternoon session, representatives from the ten areas presented their outputs, updates, and recommendations. These presentations encouraged the sharing of best practices, identification of gaps, and alignment of efforts toward accreditation readiness.

The workshop concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Joan C. Ravago, Chief of the Quality Management Systems Division, who commended the participants for their active participation and commitment to quality assurance.

Through this initiative, CLSU further strengthened its quality assurance mechanisms and reinforced its commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and successful accreditation outcomes.

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly announced that several of its faculty members and academic leaders have been selected as members of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) Deputized Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for 2026.

The recognition was formalized through CHEDRO III Regional Memorandum No. 99, series of 2026, titled “ACHIEVE-ing Excellence: Strengthening Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) Members’ Competence in Program and ETEEAP Evaluation,” released on May 18, 2026.

The selected CLSU representatives were chosen based on their expertise, competencies, integrity, and relevant professional experience in various academic disciplines. They will assist CHEDRO III in the evaluation of higher education program applications and quality assurance initiatives across the region.

Among the deputized RQAT members from CLSU are Dr. Pablo Rafael Jr. for Agribusiness/Business/Entrepreneurship, Dr. Jeffrey Lavarias for Agricultural Engineering, Dr. Maria Luisa Tabing for Agriculture, Dr. Alona Badua for Agriculture-Vetmed, and Dr. Florante Ibarra for Education, Music, Graduate Program: Educational Management, Development Education.

Also included are Dr. Lorenz Fajardo for Environmental Science, Dr. Emil Ubaldo for Language Education, Dr. Garry Benico for Marine Biology, Dr. Jay Santos for Psychology, Dr. Regidor Gaboy for Teacher Education, and Dr. Jumel Miller for Teacher Education (BPED).

The orientation/reorientation activity for the deputized evaluators was successfully conducted on May 25, 2026, at National University Clark, located at SM City Clark in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

The participation of CLSU faculty members in the CHEDRO III RQAT further strengthens the university’s commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and continuous improvement in higher education. Through their expertise and service, the university continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of quality education in Region III and beyond.

The Quality Assurance Office-Quality Management Systems Division of Central Luzon State University successfully conducted the two-day Internal Quality Auditors Seminar on ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines on Auditing Management Systems on May 12–13, 2026, at the RIE Amphitheater.

The seminar gathered internal quality auditors, quality assurance coordinators, and university personnel to strengthen their competencies in auditing management systems aligned with ISO 19011:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 standards. The activity focused on enhancing auditor competence, risk-based thinking, audit planning, evidence gathering, audit reporting, and continuous improvement of audit practices.

Resource speakers included Dr. Joan C. Ravago, Chief of the QMS Division; Dr. Cesar V. Ortinero, Internal Quality Auditor; and Dr. Arman M. Parayao, Internal Quality Auditor. Participants also engaged in workshops, open forums, and calibration activities to harmonize audit procedures and improve the effectiveness of internal audit implementation within the university.

The seminar concluded with a closing program and awarding of certificates led by Dr. Rhodora I. Dela Rosa, Chief of the Program Quality Assurance Division. The activity reaffirmed the university’s commitment to quality assurance, continual improvement, and excellence in institutional management systems.

The Master of Science in Development Communication (MSDC) program of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reached another milestone after being granted Level IV Re-Accredited Status by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).

This notable recognition affirms the program’s sustained commitment to academic excellence, robust quality assurance mechanisms, and adherence to high standards in graduate education. The Level IV Re-Accredited status signifies that the program consistently demonstrates excellence in instruction, research, and extension, supported by competent faculty, strong institutional linkages, and well-established systems comparable to leading higher education institutions.

With an impressive grand mean rating of 4.50, the MSDC program successfully met all accreditation requirements, including the submission of comprehensive documentation and compliance with mandatory recommendations.
