𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲👨🏻🏫🌟
They say a man’s legacy is written in words. For him, it is written in walls. Four schools—renovated, rebuilt, and resurrected from their own collapse. Every brick he ordered laid, every roof he had torn down and rebuilt, was an act of defiance against the slow rot that consumes all things.
At fifty-three, he has no patience for half-measures. A program under his watch is not an event—it is a spectacle, dragged from conception to ex*****on with a precision that borders on obsession. He never does things halfway, and because of that, those who walk with him are often dragged into the orbit of his will. To work beside him is to understand that nothing—absolutely nothing—can be left undone.
But such devotion comes with a shadow. When you build with such ferocity, you also destroy. When you demand completion at any cost, you leave little room for rest, for hesitation, for mercy. His success is not without casualties—burnt hours, weary bodies, silences stretched thin. Leadership, in his form, is not kindness but fire: it consumes, and in consuming, it forces others to burn alongside him.
And yet, what else could he be? To do things halfway would be to betray himself, to accept mediocrity as truth. Perhaps that is why the schools he touched will never forget him. Not because he was gentle, but because he was relentless. His mark is etched like a scar, permanent, undeniable.
Some men leave songs behind. But him? He leaves structures that will outlast him, walls that will whisper of the weight he carried and of the greater weight he placed on others.

May nahuli akong nangongopya. Hindi ko na sinita. Hindi dahil ayos lang sa akin — kundi dahil natatakot akong may masabi silang masama laban sa akin. Baka raw ma-trauma.
May nagdadaldalan habang exam. Hinayaan ko na lang. Kasi baka sabihin, “abusive” daw ako.
May estudyanteng paikot-ikot na parang nasa mall, habang klase. Gusto ko sanang singhalan, pero naisip ko, baka magka-anxiety.
May nagsisigawan pa sa loob ng room. Pero pinili ko na lang manahimik — kasi baka child abuse na naman ang tingin nila.
Gusto ko sanang kunin at punitin ‘yung kodigo… pero baka magsumbong, baka mag-viral, baka raw ma-depress.
Kaya ngumiti na lang ako. Ganito na raw talaga ngayon.
Hindi ko alam kung ano’ng mas masakit — ‘yung nakikita mong nawawala na ang respeto sa g**o, o ‘yung takot mo na baka ikaw pa ang masisi sa huli.
Mga bata ngayon? Marupok. Pero bakit?
Kasi mismong sistema ang nagturo sa kanila na maging entitled.
Ngayon, kapag teacher ka — hindi ka na “second parent.”
Para ka na lang robot.
Bawal magalit. Bawal magdisiplina.
Pero gusto nila, ikaw pa rin ang magturo ng values.
Paano?
Kapag pinagsabihan mo, violation daw.
Kapag pinagalitan mo, mental damage daw.
Kaya huwag na tayong magulat…
Ilang taon mula ngayon, magkakaroon tayo ng henerasyong sanay sumagot pero hindi marunong tumanggap ng correction. Malakas ang loob pero manipis ang dibdib.
Gusto niyo ng child protection? Sige, pero teacher protection meron ba?
Kung second parent talaga kami, bakit bawal magdisiplina?
Second parent ba ang takot sa sariling estudyante?
Noong panahon ng mga batang ‘80s at ‘90s…
Luhod sa asin.
Luhod sa munggo.
Natamaan ng chalk.
Nabato ng eraser.
Masakit? Oo.
Pero tumibay. Natuto. Lumaban sa buhay.
Ngayon? Mamasamain lang ang tono ng boses mo, breakdown na.
Kaya hello, mga estudyante.
Hello, Pilipinas.
Good luck sa kinabukasan.
Kung patuloy nating tinatanggal ang respeto sa g**o, baka dumating ang araw na wala nang g**o ang may lakas ng loob para magturo.
