The One SYM Coordinating Team (OSCT) of the FIN-FIL-FIS provinces gathered online to finalize the plans for the SYM National Assembly Days (N**S).

In the spirit of St. John Bosco and inspired by this year's STRENNA, we journeyed together in shared discernment, renewing our commitment to unity, structural coherence, and communion as One SYM.

𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗮, 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗮, 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗮, 𝗗𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼! 🎉

Last 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (Saturday), the SYG Core Group, SYG Leaders, and Oratorian Leaders attended 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the 𝘿𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙤𝙨𝙘𝙤 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 - 𝙇𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙖𝙣, with the theme "𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 @50: 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘵, 𝘎𝘰 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥, 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮." The evening began with registration ✍️, a jam session 🎶 , and opening prayers 🙏 that created a welcoming and reflective atmosphere. Participants also enjoyed interactive activities like Unfreezers and the GTKY game, where attendees from different schools paired up and shared names, ages, and school settings, fostering new connections and friendships. 🤩 These activities energized everyone and set the stage for deeper reflection.

The program then moved into a meaningful talk by Fr. Samuel Craig Leidel, more popularly known as 𝐅𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐦, a foreign content-creator priest who invited us to reflect on our role in the digital world — as both creators and consumers 😱 He challenged us to 𝙗𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚: to avoid complaining, showing off, or oversharing, to trust that our lives are already beautiful and lovable, and to create not for views but with love, sincerity, and purpose‼️ He also reminded us to 𝙗𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙚, knowing that what we watch, react to, and repeatedly engage with is what shapes our feeds and our hearts.

The night continued with group sharing, where these lessons became personal through honest conversations and attentive listening 🥰 In those moments, we were reminded that we need friends to live our faith, that God has a better plan, and that every choice we make — online or offline — leaves a footprint. Youth Night 2026 became a quiet yet powerful reminder that even in the digital world, we are called to go beyond and live the dream, choosing light, love, and hope in all that we create and consume. ✨

January 16, 2026 || 𝖲𝖳𝖱𝖤𝖭𝖭𝖠 2026 𝖱𝖤-𝖤𝖢𝖧𝖮

Last January 16, 2026 the Salesian Youth was filled with joy, movement, and grace as they gathered with their groups for the Strenna 2026 Re-echo: LOOK, LISTEN, CHOOSE, and ACT 🙏✨.

The day kicked off with unfreezers inside the gym, reminding us that in the Salesian setting, formation always begins with joy and presence 🏟️✨Throughout the sessions, the Strenna was no longer just a theme but a mission entrusted to us ✨🙏. These were not presented as difficult ideals, but as simple and practical ways to live our faith every day. We were reminded that Salesian spirituality is joyful, youthful, and deeply holy. 💛💒

As we concluded the Strenna Re echo, we carried with us renewed hearts, clearer purpose, and a stronger sense of responsibility as SYG members 🔥✨. Inspired by Don Bosco and guided by God’s loving presence, we are called to be signs of hope, joy, and faith wherever we are, in school, at home, online, and among friends 📚🏡💻

With joyful hearts and burning faith, we move forward as SYG, choosing to LOOK with care, LISTEN with love, CHOOSE what is right, and ACT with courage, living the Strenna not just in words, but in our lives for God and for the young 💛🔥

Today, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–We celebrate the feast of our very own 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐨. 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨! The word “𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠” comes from the Cebuano word “𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠” , which means “𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕“ of the 𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 🌊 The traditional 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠 dance involves a two-step forward, one-step backward movement, symbolizing the 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬’ 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭. ✝️

𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 features 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐬 🪭💃🏻 along with drums and other music. 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐠 has become a major tourist attraction, being both a 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 🇵🇭

January often begins with lists: plans to do better, to try harder, to start again. Today, January 13, as the Church commemorates St. Mary Mazzarello, her story interrupts that rush. She did not begin with resolutions written on paper, but with simple choices made in ordinary days: working faithfully, caring for young people, trusting God even when the path was unclear. At the start of a new year, her life reminds us that lasting change grows slowly, shaped by patience, humility, and love lived out daily.
