Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return).

​We are deeply saddened by the passing of Aleem Jalaloden "Abu Abdullah" Sarangani, the distinguished current President of Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao.

​Our hearts are heavy, but we find comfort in Allah's words: "Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return" (Al-Baqarah 2:156). We pray that He showers Abu Abdu with infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings, and grants him the highest station in Jannatul Firdaus. May He also grant their family patience (Sabr) and strength during this difficult time.

​Abu Abdu's dedicated service, leadership, and contributions to Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao and the wider community will always be remembered and cherished.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return).

Our hearts ache as we bid farewell to our cherished President and Chairman of the Agama Islam Society and Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao, Mahdi Ahmad Basher.

We are profoundly saddened, yet we find solace in turning to Allah (SWT): "Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return" (Al-Baqarah 2:156). We pray He showers infinite mercy on our esteemed Sir Mahdi's soul, forgives his shortcomings, and grants him the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. May He envelop his family in Sabr (patience) and strength, comforting them as only He can.

His legacy of faith, humility, and service will live on in our hearts forever.

Bagama’t huli itong naibahagi, nananatiling sariwa ang alaala ng pagkakaisa at tagumpay na hatid ng selebrasyon. Ang bawat tinig at kilos ay paalala na ang wika ay hindi lamang kasangkapan ng komunikasyon, kundi ilaw na gumagabay sa ating kultura at pambansang diwa.

On 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao held its 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐒𝐎, 𝐏𝐓𝐀, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 at 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. With the vision “𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰: 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦” and the theme “𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉: 𝑹𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔, 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆,” the event was graced by 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐀. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐒𝐂𝐋, 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐒, as 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫.

The program flow unfolded with meaning at every step—registration, invocation, and national anthem set the tone of unity; opening remarks and the guest lecture on 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 inspired reflection; certificates were awarded and action plans shared; oaths were taken with dignity; and bequeathal speeches marked heartfelt transitions. One of the most symbolic highlights was the 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧-𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 from 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏 𝑴. 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊 to the 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝑫𝒂ñ𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑷. 𝑳𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏, a moment of continuity and hope. On February 17, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 AM, our students, clubs, organizations, and Purok 5 residents joined hands in a Clean-Up Drive at JMM. 🖤

Together, we swept, cleared, and brightened our surroundings—not just for cleanliness, but to prepare our hearts and community for the blessed month of Ramadhan 1447.

This is how we welcome Ramadhan—with pride, purpose, and togetherness.

Today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao (JMM) marks an exciting milestone as we officially break ground on our newest building. This project is a symbol of our growth and our commitment to providing a better place for the youth of the Bangsamoro to learn. By starting this construction, JMM continues its mission to be a leading center for both Islamic and modern education.

The project was made possible through the vision of the supportive Board of Directors headed and approved by Mahdi Ahmad Basher, who serves as both the Chairman of the Agama Islam Society Board of Directors and the President of JMM. His leadership ensures that this new facility will serve the community and help the school reach its long-term goals.

This important building is funded by MP Sultan Abdullah "Bravo" Macapaar, the Interim President of the Agama Islam Society. Because of his support and generosity, JMM can continue to help the next generation succeed.

​The Agama Islam Society - Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao community looks forward to seeing this new space flourish as a center for faith, knowledge, and progress. This building stands as a testament to our shared commitment to excellence and our hope for a brighter future. We pray that it serves as a lasting foundation where students can grow in wisdom and character for generations to come.

‎في يوم ٢١ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٥م، تجلّى أخيراً العرض الكبير المرتقب والأعز على القلوب بكل بهائه وعظمته. ولم يكن هذا العرض مجرد مسيرة أقدام، بل كان رمزاً مهيباً للوحدة والانسجام والأخوّة، وشاهداً حياً على أن جامعة مسلم مينداناو تقف بقوة قلباً واحداً وروحاً واحدة.

‎إن هذا العرض الذي لا يُنسى سيظل محفوراً في الذاكرة كـ صفحة ذهبية في تاريخ جامعة مسلم مينداناو، ولحظة التقت فيها الأحلام والوحدة والأمل جنباً إلى جنب.
