Happening Now:
The UP Visayas Office of Student Affairs (OSA), together with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), conducts the Freshmen and Parents Orientation for the incoming freshmen of academic year 2026-2027 ahead of the Opening Exercises slated to take place on 18 August, Monday, at the UPV Auditorium and Little Theater, Iloilo City campus.

A total of 698 freshmen will join the UPV community starting Monday. Three hundred eighty-five from the College of Arts and Sciences, 52 from the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, 178 from the College of Management, and 81 from the School of Technology.

On July 14, 2026, the Guidance and Counseling Services Unit together with the OSA-GCSU Interns, conducted a one-day workshop with the theme: "Kaagapay 101: A Leadership Workshop for Junior Peer Facilitators,” that aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills in peer support, developing meaningful student-centered projects and initiatives, practicing self-care, and understanding their leadership roles as members of the Junior Peer Facilitators.

Through this workshop, the participants took home meaningful insights toward becoming 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚-𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 and also served as an opportunity for the incoming officers to collaboratively plan initiatives that are aligned with the vision and objectives of the GCSU.

This is why the Interns of the UPV-OSA Guidance and Counseling Services Unit have prepared a few reminders and tips on how to rebuild your wellness routine so that it is easier for you to go back to acad mode!

Mula sa pagmamanage ng oras, sa pag-confront sa stress, at kung paano kumuha ulit ng motivation, ipinapaalala ng post na ito na ang pagiging handa ay hindi lamang sa level ng productivity mo, kundi bahagi na rin ito ng pagbalanse ng mga bagay, tulad ng pagpahinga, being emotionally ready, at kung kailan dapat humingi ng suporta.
