National Book Week 2025 at Meycauayan College!

What an amazing week as Meycauayan College celebrates National Book Week 2025 led by its youngest organization United Auxiliary of Bibliophiles (UAUX-B) together with library staff, faculty members and students.

With the National Book Week’s theme, "Reading Bridges to a Future Full of Hope" MCians was able to showcase their talents and skills through different activities – Spelling Bee, Book Hunt, Slogan Making, Poster Making, Bookmark Making, Book Face, and Battle of the Braniacs – that was prepared for them not only to show their skills and talents but also to let them see that reading is an important tool that they can use to achieve their dreams.

Congratulations to UAUX-B headed by chief librarian and organization adviser Sir. Alvin Solitario, RL, MLIS, club moderator Ms. Karen Marie Ramirez, MaEd and all UAUX-B Officers for leading this fruitful event. This successful celebration was also made possible through the support of faculty members from different departments.

All gratitude to those who participated, gave their time, and showed their creativity. Your support and enthusiasm are deeply appreciated, indeed your love for reading is the bridge that will get you through the future full of hope.

Who says books can’t strike a pose?

Here's another activity for MCians that blends the book covers and turns imagination into reality! From fiction to faces — reading has never looked this creative! 📖💫

Here's the mechanics:
1. Each participant (Max. 15 participants) must choose a book cover that features a face, body part, or an image that can creatively align with their own features.

2. Position yourself in a way that the book cover seamlessly blends with your face or body, creating a realistic and artistic illusion.

3. SUBMISSION:
• Take a clear photo of your “Book Face” pose.

• Upload your entry on the designated submission platform (Google Drive)

• Include the following details:
- Full Name
- Section / Year Level
- Title and Author of the Book

4. Dates for this activity:
• Sending of Pictures: October 13 – 15, 2025
• Posting: October 16, 2025
• Voting: October 16 – 20, 2025
• Announcement of Winner: October 21, 2025
