PHREB has standards that Philippine REBS need to abide by. The Philippine Social Science Council has an online social science research ethics training as well on 22-23 September 2026.

Organized by IIARI, the VRC is a community extension service under the Institute's Literacy Program, designed to strengthen research literacy and academic writing among high school and undergraduate students. Through this initiative, IIARI contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), fostering Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17), and supporting Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) through accessible and inclusive research education.

Reinforcing its commitment to sustainable community development, Bukidnon State University Medina Campus participated in the 2026 Extension Services and Community Engagement Unit (ESCEU) Mid-Year Performance Review and Catch-Up Planning held at La Terrazza, Casisang, Malaybalay City, on July 27–28, 2026.

Representing BukSU Medina Campus were Dr. Maria Leonie A. Mabanta, Campus Head, and Mrs. Jenelyn C. Manabar, Extension Coordinator. The two-day activity served as a dedicated venue for university extension leaders to present mid-year project accomplishments, monitor overall progress, and evaluate the strategic implementation of ongoing community programs.

During the presentation sessions, Mrs. Manabar highlighted key milestones of campus-led community extension projects including youth leadership and civic engagement initiatives in Medina. The review provided a critical space to address operational challenges, realign project targets, and outline actionable catch-up strategies for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The event concluded with strategic planning sessions aimed at sharpening future extension goals and ensuring that all project deliverables remain tightly aligned with the university's institutional thrusts and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this proactive monitoring, BukSU Medina continues to uphold its dedication to delivering responsive, high-impact extension services that empower local communities.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED

Due to overwhelming demand, we are extending the deadline for abstract and poster submissions for the 12th National Social Science Congress (NSSC12)!

This premier event is the flagship program of the PSSC, serving as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among social scientists, policymakers, and researchers.

For its 12th installment, held in collaboration with the Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU), we are focusing on the issues of poverty and national development, with the theme, "Examining Poverty Through Social Sciences: Evolving Approaches, Enduring Challenges, and Emerging Pathways." NSSC12 will be held on 18 to 20 February 2027 at the ADNU campus, Bagumbayan Sur, Naga City, Camarines Sur.
