Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School proudly congratulates 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗿 𝗦. 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼, a Grade 12 STEM student and member of the 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, for representing the school and Davao City at the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, held on May 14, 2026, at the Bayanihan Center, UNILAB, Mandaluyong City.

Gared presented 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗢𝗡, one of the 22 outstanding youth-led climate innovations selected from across the Philippines. The project demonstrates how science can be transformed into practical community solutions by integrating microbiology, electrical systems, and nature-based approaches to strengthen unstable slopes and help prevent landslides before they occur. Through the activation of Bacillus subtilis, Project ALIMUON promotes a proactive, science-based strategy for disaster risk reduction and climate resilience.

The Green Rising Impact Expo brought together young innovators, educators, community organizations, and environmental advocates committed to advancing youth-led solutions for a climate-resilient Philippines.

The event also featured an inspiring keynote address from 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗕𝗲𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗸𝗶, who emphasized the importance of climate conservation, good governance, youth empowerment, and collective action. Her powerful message reminded participants that true resilience is not merely about surviving challenges but about empowering communities, amplifying meaningful voices, and creating lasting hope through action.

Gared's participation reflects the commitment of DRANHS in nurturing scientifically competent, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious learners who use research and innovation to address real-world challenges. His achievement also highlights the growing impact of Filipino youth in leading transformative initiatives for environmental sustainability and disaster resilience.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗢𝗡 is the result of the collective dedication and collaboration of passionate young researchers. The project is led by 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗿 𝗦. 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼, 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦. Congratulations, Gared, and the entire Project ALIMUON Team, for bringing pride and honor to Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School and for proving that young people are not simply preparing for the future—they are actively building it.

This participation was made possible through the Green Rising Fund under the Kabataang Resilient Programme, implemented in partnership with UNICEF Philippines and the Positive Youth Development Network (PYDN). DRANHS also expresses its sincere gratitude to these organizations for empowering Filipino youth to lead innovative, community-based climate solutions and disaster resilience initiatives.

Your DRANHS family is proud of you! 💚🌏

Selected Senior High School STEM and Junior High School STE learners of Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) successfully participated in the 𝗗𝗠𝗣𝗖𝗦 × 𝗗𝗶𝗪𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 held on May 11, 2026, at the College of Science and Mathematics, University of the Philippines Mindanao.

Organized by the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (DMPCS) in collaboration with the UP Mindanao Center for Disease Watch and Analytics (DiWA), the workshop focused on dynamical systems modeling with real-world applications, particularly in understanding dengue transmission. Participants engaged in lectures covering derivatives, dynamical systems, and mosquito biology, complemented by a hands-on modeling session that allowed them to apply mathematical concepts to real-world public health scenarios.

Representing DRANHS were incoming Grade 12 STEM students April Rose O. Melana, Thea Lauren S. Pasia, and Cyrus Chin B. Labos, together with Christoff Cesar A. Estocado (SHS-STEM), Christine Kyle B. Peñaloga (SHS-STEM), Vince Miguel O. Bumanlag (JHS-STE), Ice Lucian B. Sumacot (JHS-STE), Jairus Bern F. Sanchez (JHS-STE), Ioane Lexann B. Banico (JHS-STE), and Zania Pernites (JHS-STE). The learners actively took part in the sessions, gaining valuable insights into the use of mathematical modeling in biological systems.

The activity provided meaningful exposure to advanced applications of mathematics in science and public health, strengthening the learners’ analytical and problem-solving skills in line with their STEM and STE specializations.

The group was accompanied by Special Science Class faculty member Mr. Ivan Claude O. Hawil, who provided guidance and supervision throughout the activity.
