𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐬𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚: 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐨, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐨!

This initiative is more than just cleaning up - it’s about shaping a culture of discipline and responsibility among the youth. It’s time to re-educate, re-instill, and reawaken the values of environmental stewardship, starting in our classrooms, corridors, and campuses.

The MSAT Prime Movers made a heartfelt promise— to do their part in keeping their surroundings clean, starting right in their own classrooms and extending throughout the entire school. Together, they committed to take every step needed to protect and care for their environment. More than just cleaning, they also pledged to build better habits and a positive attitude toward proper waste management, because they believe that change begins with them.

MSAT Takes Action for a Cleaner Mati
Students and leaders unite in two clean-up initiatives

Responding to two major environmental efforts, the Mati School of Arts and Trades (MSAT) stepped up to support a cleaner, greener Mati. On July 25, 2025, the school demonstrated its dedication by joining both a city-wide clean-up campaign and Barangay-level activity called “Synchronized Operation Linis.”

The initiative was led by active student groups, including BKD (Barkada Kontra Droga), SSLG (Supreme Secondary Learner Government), the Make-up Artist Guild, and Peer Facilitators. These students joined other organizations at FGR Baywalk Park for the city-wide clean-up under the SAMBASURA (Sambuokan Kontra Basura) campaign.

At the same time, MSAT students and Boy Scouts contributed to the barangay-level clean-up, focusing on tidying up areas around the school and nearby public pathways. Their efforts supported Barangay Sainz’s Operation Linis, promoting teamwork and discipline.

These initiatives highlight MSAT’s commitment to community service, environmental responsibility, and student engagement. More than just cleaning, these actions help foster responsible citizens and emphasize that meaningful change starts at home.
