PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD — MECHANICS
1. The official individual photographs of all Mr. and Miss Intramurals candidates shall be posted on the official page of The Green Grove for the purpose of the People’s Choice Award.
2. The voting period shall officially begin upon the posting of the candidates’ photographs and shall end on August 30, 2026 at 𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌. Reactions made after the stated deadline shall no longer be included in the official tally.
3. ONLY HEART (❤️) REACTIONS on the official Facebook post containing the candidate’s photograph shall be counted as votes.
4. Post shares and other reactions shall NOT be counted.
5. Supporters may share the official post, but only Heart reactions recorded on the original official post shall form part of the candidate’s final tally.
6. A Facebook account may cast one Heart reaction per candidate. Participants and supporters are strictly discouraged from using fake accounts, automated reactions, purchased reactions, boosted posts, or other artificial means to increase a candidate’s vote count.
7. The People’s Choice Award shall be given to the candidate who obtains the highest number of valid Heart reactions at the official closing of the voting period.
8. The final tally shall be based on the number of valid Heart reactions visible on the official Facebook post at the exact time voting closes. The Intramurals Committee may document the final counts through screenshots or other appropriate records for transparency.
9. The committee reserves the right to investigate and invalidate suspicious, fraudulent, automated, or artificially generated reactions. Only votes deemed valid by the committee shall be included in the final tally.
10. In case of a tie, the Intramurals Committee shall implement a fair and publicly announced tie-breaking procedure.
11. Participation in the People’s Choice Award is voluntary. No learner shall be required to vote, solicit votes, create a Facebook account, or obtain Heart reactions as a condition for participation in any Intramurals activity.
12. The number of Heart reactions shall have no bearing on any learner’s academic grade, performance rating, eligibility, or other academic consideration. No additional academic points or grades shall be awarded based on the People’s Choice Award.
13. No monetary payment, fee, purchase, donation, or other financial contribution shall be required to cast a vote. The activity shall not be used for monetization, fundraising, or commercial purposes.
14. The official photographs of the candidates shall be posted only with the appropriate permission/consent of the learners and their parents or legal guardians, as applicable, for the stated purpose of the People’s Choice Award.
15. The photographs and reactions shall be used solely for the conduct and promotion of the Mr. and Miss Intramurals People’s Choice Award and shall not be sold, monetized, or used for unrelated commercial purposes.
16. By participating in the People’s Choice Award, all supporters are expected to observe respectful and sportsmanlike conduct. Any form of harassment, bullying, malicious commenting, or inappropriate content directed toward candidates or supporters shall not be tolerated.
17. The Intramurals Committee shall have the final authority to verify the vote count and resolve issues concerning the implementation of these mechanics, consistent with applicable school policies and regulations.
CONSENT AND NON-COMMERCIALIZATION CLAUSE
The posting of the candidates’ photographs is made with the necessary permission/consent of the concerned learners and their parents or legal guardians, as applicable. The photographs and the People’s Choice voting activity shall not be monetized or used for commercial purposes. Participation in the voting activity is entirely voluntary; no learner shall be compelled to vote, solicit votes, create or use a social media account, or obtain reactions. Votes shall not constitute additional academic grades, bonus points, or any form of compulsory academic requirement.
