February 27 2026 New Community Partnership: Bodega Elementary School

Location: Barangay Pasig, Claveria Municipal, Masbate (Burias Island)

Our 8th school community partner at the outlying Burias Island of Masbate is with the coastal school of Bodega Elementary School.

Bodega Elementary School, at Purok #4, Sitio Bodega, is just one of the 4 schools under the jurisdiction of the Barangay Pasig, staffed by 10 public school teachers and 1 School Principal with an estimated student population of approximately 250 learners in this school year
2025-2026.

"The named Bodega was taken before its original name (“Bodega” it means
“Imbakan) because it is known as the “imbakan” of different crops from the farm like
corns, coconuts, sweet potato, Jam, and etc."

The school's proposed library hub is a 6x7 meter space with an approximate seating capacity of 20 to 30 individuals. This is the "bodega" of learning that we at Library Hub PH will be striving to fill up, not with local produce, but books and materials that we hope will nourish and entice the educators, learners, and member of the community in their quest for literacy, love of reading and learning.

Let's help build a sustainable and viable imbakan that will espouse a safe and open space that encourages explorations into growth and knowledge.

Our work with Bodega ES begins.

BODEGA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL teachers would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to all individuals and organizations who generously offered their help and financial support for the restoration of our school fence, which was severely damaged by flood due to heavy rainfall.

Your kindness and willingness to assist during this challenging time have played a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our learners, teachers, and school community. Because of your generosity, the necessary repairs were made possible, allowing our school to quickly recover and continue providing a safe learning environment.

Today Bodega ES Teachers explored about "𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌; 𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒" to enhance teaching and learning. The Facilitator Maam Carolyn C. Ramirez, shared her expertise today in facilitating her topic about different tools in ICT for teaching. Teachers shared examples of using different Tools to create engaging and immersive learning experiences. The session highlighted the potential of learning different platforms, assessment tools, and data-driven instruction to cater the diverse learning styles and needs of our learners. The discussions sparked new ideas and a renewed sense of enthusiasm for leveraging technology to create a more dynamic and effective learning environment. It also fostered a collaborative environment where teachers could exchange ideas, challenges, and experiences about their approaches to technology integration, leaving them equipped with knowledge and strategies about ICT inside the classroom.
