Doctrine and Covenants 58–59:

D&C 58 – Be Strong and Do Good

Hard times come before blessings. God says we must go through trials before we receive great blessings.

Don’t wait to be told everything. God wants us to choose to do good things, not just wait for commands.

Repent and confess. If we sin, we should admit it and sincerely repent.

Follow the laws. Obey God’s laws and the laws of your country.

D&C 59 – How to Live in Zion (God’s Holy City)

Obey and be blessed. When we keep God’s commandments, we receive spiritual and physical blessings.

Keep the commandments. God reminds us of important rules like loving Him, not stealing, not killing, and not being jealous.

Honor the Sabbath. Sundays (or the Sabbath) should be a holy day to worship, rest, and grow closer to God.

Be thankful. Always show gratitude for what you have.

Use the earth wisely. Nature is a gift from God—use it with respect and thankfulness.

Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

We are grateful for your continued faith, service, and devotion to the Lord. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are reminded that “when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17).

We invite all members to actively participate in our upcoming work and cleanliness efforts in our meetinghouse and surroundings. Cleanliness is not only a reflection of our respect for the Lord’s house, but also a way to build unity and love among members as we work side by side.

Let us remember that even small acts of service, like sweeping the floor or wiping down chairs, can be sacred when done with a willing heart. Our efforts contribute to a reverent and welcoming environment for all who enter.

Please bring your families and let us joyfully labor together. As we do so, we will not only strengthen the Church but also deepen our testimonies and our sense of community.
