Fire prevention month is not just a seasonal activity—it is a shared responsibility. March is historically the start of the dry season, making it a critical time when fire incidents increase due to extreme heat and neglect.
Fire destruction is one person's careless act, but fire prevention is everyone's job. We urge you to take proactive steps in your homes and workplaces.
Be Vigilant: Check your electrical connections and never overload sockets.
Be Prepared: Test your smoke alarms, review your exit plans, and ensure your fire extinguishers are functional.
Be Responsible: Keep an eye on the kitchen and keep flammable materials secured.
Fire incidents are deadly, but they are preventable. Let’s make our homes and community safer by being alert, prepared, and responsible.
