Nagsisimula na naman ang panibagong semestre. Para sa iba, pagkakataon ito para makasama ang mga kaibigan, ngunit para sa nakararami, ito ay hudyat ng panibagong bugso ng stress mula sa nagkakapatong-patong na requirements at mga gawaing pang-akademiko. Iba-iba man ang ating nararamdaman, iisa lang ang katotohanan: hindi madaling maging estudyante lalo na sa panahon ngayon.

Bilang mga mag-aaral, pasan-pasan namin araw-araw ang pressure na maging mahusay sa harap ng mataas na ekspektasyon ng aming mga magulang, g**o at ng lipunan. Madalas, nakakalimutan ng marami na kami ay tao rin—napapagod, nalilito, at may mga sandaling gusto na ring sumuko.
Ilan lamang ito sa mga boses na sumasalamin sa aming pinagdadaanan:

“Excited sa OJT, pero sa pila, hindi!” – 3rd Year, BIT

“Ang daming kailangang ipasa, iba-iba ang mga proseso. Ano ba talaga?” – 3rd Year, ENTREP

“Kakayanin pa kaya ng oras ko?” – 3rd Year, BTVTED

Taun-taon na lang, iisa ang naririnig na hinaing. Tila naging isang tradisyong hindi matapos-tapos ang kalbaryo ng bawat estudyante tuwing sasapit ang panahon ng OJT. Ang masaklap, madalas itong ituring na "bahagi lang ng pag-aaral," ngunit sa mga nakararanas, hindi ito biro.

Pagdating sa OJT, hindi lang ito basta listahan ng mga kailangang ipasa o mga pirma sa papel. Kalakip nito ang bawat pisong pinaghihirapang kitain ng aming mga magulang at ang bawat pawis ng mga working students para lang sa pamasahe. Ito ay mga oras na ninanakaw mula sa dapat ay oras ng pahinga, at lakas ng katawan na unti-unting nauubos para lang makasabay sa tila walang katapusang daloy ng proseso.

Nakapanlulumo ang malito sa mga panuntunang hindi magkakasundo, kung saan ang bawat galaw ay tila mali. Ang paulit-ulit na pag-print ng dokumento dahil sa maliliit na pagkakamali ay hindi lamang gastos sa bulsa—isa itong patunay na tila walang puwang ang pang-unawa para sa mga nagsisimula pa lamang matuto. Kailan ba hihinto ang paulit-ulit na siklong ito?

“Wala talaga Silang maayos na process tapos lagi Silang pabago bago” – 3rd Year, ENTREP

“Then nakakalito na rin about sa mga announcement, hindi na namin alam kung ano ba dapat unahin. then hindi na rin namin alam kung kanino mag papapirma kasi paiba-iba ng announcement.” –3rd Year, BIT

Saan ba kami lulugar?

Kailangan na lang ba kaming palaging mag-adjust sa mga kalakarang tila hindi isinasaalang-alang ang aming kapakanan? May mga estudyanteng sabay na nag-aaral at nagtatrabaho, pilit na pinagkakasya ang sarili sa dalawang mundo para lang maabot ang kanilang pangarap. Sa kabila ng pagod na ito, tila laging kulang ang konsiderasyon at pang-unawang ibinibigay sa amin.

Hindi namin hinihingi ang isang madaling daan. Ang hinihiling lang namin ay kaunting pag-unawa sa gitna ng magulong proseso.
Estudyante lang din kami. May mga pangarap kaming gustong abutin, may mga limitasyong dapat igalang, at higit sa lahat, may boses na nararapat pakinggan.

Kailan natin gagawing tulay ang komunikasyon sa halip na pader? Hindi ba’t mas mapapadali ang lahat kung ang bawat hakbang ay may linaw at ang bawat boses ay may puwang?

The 84th Regular Board of Trustees Meeting was conducted last 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 5, 2025, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞.

The board meeting covered and discussed several institutional agendas. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞, 𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The Marikina Polytechnic College formally held the Oath Taking and Turnover Ceremony of the newly elected student leaders for Academic Year 2025–2026. The event symbolized the continuity of leadership, commitment, and service among MPCians—anchored in the values of integrity, excellence, and compassion.

As the torch of leadership was passed on, the new officers pledged to uphold the principles of good governance, unity, and responsible service to the MPC community. This milestone not only marks the beginning of their term but also renews the spirit of dedication and purpose that defines true MPC leadership.
