Future SCLs, at this point, protect your peace as much as your preparation. Do not spend these remaining days trying to learn everything all at once. Focus on retention and keeping your mind steady. Read lightly; avoid burning yourself out before exam day.
See you at the finish line.

โ๏ธ NEW RELEASE: Understanding Muslim Personal Laws in the Philippines ๐๐ต๐ญ
How does the Philippine legal system integrate the religious and cultural traditions of our Muslim brothers and sisters?
We are pleased to announce the release of our latest publication: "Proceedings of the Awareness Seminar on P.D. No. 1083 (Code of Muslim Personal Laws) and Other Laws Affecting Muslims in the Philippines." Published under the Islamic Studies Program (ISP), this volume documents a critical seminar held at the University of the Philippines Baguio on September 8, 2025.
Authors Camille Lucille A. Bello and Nashwina A. Rasul capture the essential discussions aimed at bridging the gap between legal policy and community awareness.
๐ Key Discussion Points:
๐ P.D. No. 1083 Deep Dive: An overview of the Code of Muslim Personal Laws (CMPL), which governs marriage, divorce, inheritance, and other personal relations for Filipino Muslims.
๐๏ธ Shariโah Courts: Understanding the jurisdiction and role of Shariโah courts within the broader Philippine judicial framework.
๐ก๏ธ Human Rights & Protection: Discussions on how the CMPL and other national laws interact to protect the rights of individuals, particularly women and children.
๐ Awareness & Access: Addressing the challenges of legal literacy and ensuring that Muslim communities, especially those outside of the BARMM, are aware of their rights and legal remedies.
This proceedings serves as a vital resource for legal practitioners, scholars, and community leaders dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and pluralistic legal environment in the Philippines.
