The Philippine Association of Environmental Science Students (PAESS) 5th Anniversary Mindanao Leg was successfully held on March 28, 2025, at the CHTM Pavilion, MSU Main Campus, Marawi City. The event gathered environmental science student organizations across different universities in Mindanao, celebrating unity and commitment to environmental stewardship.

Highlights included a tree-growing activity featuring native species, the “Punla Seminar: Career Talk on Environmental Science,” cultural performances, and a heritage tour.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participating institutions, partners, organizers, speakers, and volunteers who made this milestone celebration possible. Your support and dedication truly brought this event to life.

Ngayong International Forest Day, binibigyang-diin natin ang mahalagang papel ng mga kagubatan sa pagpapanatili ng balanse ng ating ekosistema. Ang mga kagubatan ay nagsisilbing tahanan ng napakaraming uri ng buhay, tagapangalaga ng biodiversity, at pangunahing tagasipsip ng carbon na tumutulong sa pagharap sa pagbabago ng klima.

Sa kabila nito, patuloy silang nahaharap sa mga banta tulad ng deforestation, illegal logging, at land conversion. Mahalaga ang kolektibong pagkilos—mula sa siyentipikong pananaliksik hanggang sa lokal na pangangalaga—upang mapanatili at maibalik ang integridad ng ating mga kagubatan.
